(RAW) 100 ft sweet gum removal in the wind

The raw unedited video of certainly one of the tallest sweet gums that I have ever removed. My best guess was that it was at least 100' tall, just going by the height of the other trees and the length of the ropes that were used. We were able to get it safely to the ground without damaging anything.

I don’t know if you’ll see this but newer tip instead of them tying the rig line to your rope nd you pulling it up clip your clip onto your climb line nd tell them to hold your climb line tight nd pull the rig line up it’ll come right to you when your limb walking like that then you won’t have to worry about it go back to the rigging point

Yeah usually what we'll do is just tie a Slipknot in my climb line and then hook the bringing line hook up to that and then I'll just pull it up. But that is definitely something I think I'm going to give it a try to

I forgot that once the rigging line has come up high enough it'll start to pull itself up into the tree, and I didn't have a firm enough grasp on it, so it got pulled back over to the pulley.

If you had a rigging redirect at that point, the rope would have come straight back to you

@@graemeday8274 yea I know, but I was using natural crotches. The next piece that I was going to take would have been the remainder
