Could you explain the use of the bar break on that top handle Stihl sometime. Curious the old Homelite saws I had decades ago did not have that feature. I see you pull it back before a cut, but I do not catch you pushing it forward.

Is it possible to give the height of the trees approx. In your videos ?. I can have a better idea how high and can make a comparison with towers or high buildings in my neighborhood.

Another good job. Well done @ dropping those limbs in a small opening. As a fellow climber it hurts me to see a climber unhook their climb line while chunking down a stem when you and every other climber has their version of a quick choking device to repel off of. YES it's each climbers preference as to what they do and I should probably save my breath. Stuff happens as we know. An accidental cut or exhaustion or bees whatever it can happen. A choking device is just like moving 2 lanyards at the same time. Climb safe Max.

The first thing I did when I bought my property was cut down all trees near any of my structure's and kept ones that could not cause damage. I feel it would be smart in some cases to do this.

What is a SRT?
@ReallyTallTreeGuy
@ReallyTallTreeGuy 3 күн бұрын
SRT is Single Rope Technique. So that pretty much means that I move up and down the rope as opposed DRT or Dual Rope Technique where the rope moves while I move up and down it. There are advantages to both SRT and DRT, but one advantage that srt has is that it is very simple to toss the line into a neighboring tree and have the ground crew tie in on.
