I only discovered Christy this year but I realised after hearing him for the first time just how gifted a singer he was. This song is another example of his brilliance. Sing on Christy in a place that I hope is not crazy like this world we live in. You will always live on in your music and what you gave to us through your songs and what they mean to the world.

God bless 🙏 Christy g.b.n.f 1of the best Irish bands even above u2, aslan stuck to their roots U2 went American and got their fame my partner and I argue over this although he likes aslan he says U2 are better but what would have happened if Christy didn't have his problems they would have blown U2 awayxxxshanna 🙏🙏🙏🙏💚🤍🧡

100% right. more substance in one good Aslan song than the entirety of U2. Aslan were specific. U2 are vague and general and conscript you. Aslan hit you where you're not expecting it, because they knew exactly what they were singing about and it hits internal chords in you. U2 were never a great band (or even a band with something meaningful to say) and unfortunately Paul McG and Bono made sure most other serious Irish acts had to play second fiddle to them.

I never explained quite how I came across them. In 2012 my 13yr old niece committed suicide, we had just been picked up at the boat and the radio was on. We were on our way to Donegal and this song crazy world came on, tears ran from my eyes I heard this for the 1st time and thought with what we were going since finding out, I thought it was so apt so everytime we were in the car and radio was on it came on a good amount of times I asked who they were and was told all about them and I fell in love but 45days later aslan crazy world got me through my other niece the 13yr olds sister she was 15yr old xxxshanna

I love everything about you christy I don't believe that we the people of Ireland will ever come across a man a true Dubliner like you ever again. But to be be honest christy I hope we do but I doubt anyone would ever be able to come close to your talent. Your daughter should never be sad about your passing as you have left more than enough strength for her to grab onto and carry her father's strong name on. God bless pal the best

They used to have great banter between them, all in good jest, i choose to believe. However I was at both their concerts, and after Aslan, they came down to speak and meet their audience, this was in oranmore in galway, they were amazing.
