Ray Wilkins picks his best 11

Sky Sports show "Fantasy Football" has introduced a feature where guests on the show that are football stars of past and present select their all time 11 from players that they have actually played with. In this video it was the turn of Ray "Butch" Wilkins to select his line-up.
For the rest of us (the fans) we cannot select our own but we can select an 11 of players we have actually seen play in the flesh. It does not need to be made up of players from the club that we follow and it also does not need to be based on the fact that the day that we saw Lionel Messi play he had a stinker whereas a week earlier we were watching Mansfield Town (for example) and the left back had a stormer so he has to be included! If you have been fortunate enough to see the really top players play even on a bad day then you should include them for what they have done overall. I made my own selection and it was not easy.

I used to really enjoy his Co-Commentary with Peter Backley? for the Italian Seria A 'live' games shown on Ch4 on Sunday afternoon's....Really insightful,informative and appreciative of the quality of players and Football which were on show!..(And in those early 90's Serie A had some fantastic players !)

He obviously does not think much of modern footballers, and i cannot blame him. Good to see someone pick a team of players most would never of picked, and many would never of heard of many of these players.

that was very honourable of Ray to pick his competitors for England central midfield,ie Hoddle and Robson,who were both better players than he was (although he was world class himself at his peak),he was my age(that's a bit worrying to be sure),may he rest in peace

(Charles instead of the great Baresi and Scirea, for physical presence alongside the brains of Beckenbauer.
