It's better to ask the Brazil teams of 1998 and 2006 which were overcrowded with superstars, how good Zidane was. Me being a fan boy of Brazil team had to cry the whole night after the world cup final 1998 only because of this man.....

You forgot to mention his great success as a coach. He's literally the best at everything when it comes to football. I wouldn't be surprised if he is also the world's best referee.

The 2006 quarter final against my country Brazil was legendary. In that game, Zidane put his arms around the ball and said : "This game is MINE, the ball will go wherever

Zizu was an anomaly in football, they called him the Magician for a reason. I remember watching this man play against Brasil in that World Cup, just unbelievable.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned : for a right footed player, he has the best left foot ever. Scored amazing goals and delivered amazing assists with his left foot

I was 14 years old when i watched Zidane destroy the Brazilian midfield at the 2006 world cup. As a Brazilian, i wasn't even mad. Watching him play was just mesmerizing, how brilliantly elegant and dominating he was in a football pitch. I'm glad i got to watch Zidane. He'll always be in my top 5 players alongside Messi, Ronaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo and Henry.

When Zidane played France went to the world cup and Euro Finals and when he didn't they would get knocked out from the group stage and struggle to qualify for the major tournament. That's how good he was, he carried the entire team to perform to his level.
