'My Way', a song from the 'Classics is Groot' Concert, held in June 2017, Pretoria, South Africa. Amira Willighagen sings with the Group this beautiful and inspirational oldie.

'My Way' (Original title: 'For Me') is written by the French composer Jacques Revaux. In the beginning nobody was interested in the song, but after some insistence, Claude Francois decided in 1967 to make a record with new lyrics and title: 'Comme d'habitude'.
When Paul Anka visited Paris he heard the French song and wrote English lyrics, title: 'My Way'. Francois granted Anka record release. Anka persuaded Frank Sinatra to cover the song. The song became a huge success in the US and beyond. Elvis Presley also recorded 'My Way'.

I came here for Amira and loved her, but also heard the different voices. All good in there own way. So, i bought the Classic is Groot Dvd's. What a great variety of quality performances. I had to buy a multi region dvd player for them, to play in the usa. We'll worth the cost. Should hear Bohemeum Rhapsody was great too.

My Riley would have loved these GOD BLESSED talented individuals. He loved beautiful and talented performers and the georgous music they performed. Just unbelievable! He lived 27 years with Parkinson's and served His Country 40 years in all 4 branches of the MILITARY. His LORD took him HOME 1YEAR and 2 months ago. He would have loved this performance , but my RILEY would also say HE DID NOT DO IT "MY WAY" BUT BY GOD'S WAY. BEAUTIFUL MUSIC always lifted him up. THANK YOU. MAY GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU AND USE YOUR TALENT FOR HIS GLORY

Joe; your to the point comment needs a little editing; it took only 2 months to reach 725.000 views. I'm really stunned this song is so popular. Brazilians watch it the most, followed by USA, Mexico and Poland. And of course this success is all due to Amira's performance.

joe burch: That is why it makes a lot of sense for Coleske Artists to tap Amazon and other online marketing companies. To capture buyers from the younger generation, CA should consider putting the contents of Amira's 3rd cd on itunes, etc. Let me say i do not know how much an artist is paid every time a song is downloaded on itunes so i am not really sure if doing this is good for the artist and the record producer. I am just looking at how to reach more potential buyers. CA, being an established company, may already be considering doing this or working on it already.

What strikes me is - all the artists there recognized Amira, her great talent, adopted her in "family", adored her and put in the center of the stage to clearly send a message: she is the bright star! So wonderful of them all. The same happened in 2016 in DVD recording from CIG. She is in "family" now IMO, so great of them! No wonder she is in SA now, having so much support and admiration. Also having closer eye on her charity, (she may compete now with Oprah). I wander if Oprah know anything about Amira, may be it is the time to let Oprah know who is Amira? What do you think? Opera singer with Oprah, sounds good for start.

Paul; this was another 'well said' post of yours. You are so absolutely right about the acceptance of Amira by the other singers and producers of CIG and AIG. In Holland, forget about it. I will upload a private video where you can see how she's being treated by Dutch concert producers/organizers. There's one shot that speaks volumes how the Dutch musicians are looking at her (and where they put Amira physically).

Paul Bauza (Ingrid) Now that Ray and I have touched some of the sore spots I think I should also add the attitude towards the SA- language which is, in my opinion, still being discriminated by 'the dutch elite'. Reasons for the move to SA are piling up. As for your Oprah suggestion I think we should let her grow, get used to her new life etc. before she is swallowed up by the US of A.

i'm so glad i discovered this great singer, only wish i would have sooner and watched and listened as she grew. i try to stay away from comments on all the videos i watch but i seem to be drawn to them, since i'm only a fan of music i may just be confused or not understand all the different comments, am i the only fan listening and everyone else is an agent or promoter or talent scout, sure seems like a lot of experts in one place.

These are all great singers but in this video as well as in other videos, Amira SHINES and supersedes anyone else’s 100%. She is a superb opera soprano singer with an exquisite and brilliant voice. Amira is a very gifted female who was born to sing great music!!! BRAVO BRAVO for this young girl and her very beautiful voice. todo todo,el que apretó su alma para reunir las notas de esta maravillosa pieza.Todo para que la batuta,al aire ayude a los instrumentos,sigan la composición de la sensibilidad de las manos y los dedos que sus movimientos emanan de los sentimientos de los músicos. y para nada no mencionar las delicadas voces de ese gran coro , Gracias mil a la magia de KZfaq que e las cuatro horas que empleo para darme fuerza en mi jornada laboral
