You could have called this, "Every Passing Shot In The Book." Insane variety, hit from insane positions, different spins, different angles, FH, BH, hit from everywhere on the court...

the slice passing shots are the most satisfying requires absolute control and court awareness no one hits slice passing shots like Federer

He makes all these shots look so natural... I think that's a big difference especially with Nadal: for me seeing Rafa doing some passing shots the reaction is like "wow, incredible", while looking at Roger is more a quite contemplation wondering: "is this really so easy for you?"

I notice that difference too. And also…Nadal is a work horse on the court…at least he tries to be. But he’s playing with his non-dominant hand and he runs himself so ragged that he’s had quite a few injuries in his career. Federer on the other hand is more like a conductor. The ball, the racket, the opponent….they all do exactly as he says and he’s just up there waving his hands bending everything and everyone to his will.

I like this video of Federer doing passing shots, because it is often because his opponents is playing good tennis, that Federer is allowed to hit those unreal passing shots ! It leads to high quality points from both players.

Hardly ever see a deep slice passing shot winner and here we have numerous ones. Fed was a different breed.

You have to add the passing shot from Wimbledon 2015 against Murray that went cross court after Murray hit a swinging volley. Insane flick of the wrist! 🤙

The grunting/noise-making of some of these players is laughable; as if their noises are really helping them generate extra effort, or power, on their shots. Roger hits a ripper, and doesn't utter a sound; he just went about his business.
