This as others have said was a great loss for Serena 2012 alone she went on a 33-1 record after this match. The crowd were frankly disgusting it one thing to support a home favourite but they were applauding ever error Serena hit.

I don't see this match as turning point for Serena's career because she's always there, she's always around, an annoying threat for every players that desired to hold a GS trophy. She's consistently in a GS final every year since 2007 and that's why it's more relevant to stated that 2007 Sharapova final in AO was the start of the 2nd part of her career and the 3rd part is her post-pregnancy break. Yes I'm aware that she failed to win any GS in USO 2011 but that's an indicative that she was there, around and ready to pounce when an opportunity came and that came in Wimbledon 2012 right after this one I see this match more as Razzano hung in there, dug deeper than ever and refused to gave up so kudos to her because when you have an opportunity to beat Serena, you better capitalized it
