----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The "Last Post" can be either a B♭ bugle call within British Infantry regiments or an E♭ cavalry trumpet call in British Cavalry and Royal Regiment of Artillery (Royal Horse Artillery and Royal Artillery) used at Commonwealth military funerals and ceremonies commemorating those who have been killed in war.
The two regimental traditions have separate music for the calls (see Trumpet & Bugle Calls for the British Army 1966). Whilst the infantry (B♭ bugle) version is the better known of the two versions of the call the E♭ cavalry trumpet version is the tune used by the state trumpeters of the Household Cavalry.

This was probably the proudest, and most nerve wracking, moment of my career in the RM Band. Played especially for all the family and friends of those who have lost loved ones in British conflicts.

This is exactly how Last Post should be played. This Royal Marines Bugler played it perfectly, despite the possibility of his nerves whilst playing in front of HM The Queen, The Royal Family, the Royal Albert Hall audience and the many millions watching on the television. Well done that Royal Marine. SuperNutkin

This is by far the hardest of all services. When the last post is sounded by heart is literally ripped from my chest and put through a meat grinder. It is so overwhelming that I simply cant resist the emotion it brings. My father, who survived Palestine, Eden, North Africa and Italy, and my grandfather who died on the last day of the great war during an airstrike on the hopsital where he was recovering, I can only say thank you and kneel in awe and recognition.

I think it's great that you guys in the UK do this for your fallen. (I'm from America) I just think it's really special. I just wish people my age would give those who died for you and I more respect. Dearest condolences from across the pond.

I always wonder what it must have felt like to attend these kind of ceremonies in the years immediately following WW2; no fancy recording or light show, just pure raw emotion. Imagine hearing the last call played as Europe buried millions of its own. I suppose I'm very lucky to not know the feeling. As an American, I'm still absolutely in awe of the courage and resolve of the British in those days, and how well you honor them still.

I am a trumpeter myself and I know much it takes to get up and play in front of 200 people, let alone thousands, the Queen and viewers from home. Well played!

Well done Jim! A note perfect tribute to all those that have given up their lives during conflicts past and present to give us all the freedom we have today. Also a fitting tribute to the time you spend as part of the Royal Marine band service . Proud of you. Even if you did used to drive me mad practising the drumming on radiators at home when you had just joined up. I guess it was worth it. Your proud sister xx

My great great grandad holt died in that war. He was really unlucky. He was injured. Not seriously but badly and on the way to the hospital his ambulance was blown up. The medics, the other men, great great grandad, the driver and the horses were blown to pieces. Murdered! It is important to remember the horses in WW1. Nobody does. They played a key role in many battles. R.I.P Great Great Grandad and all the 25 men from my village and all the nurses, factory workers, horses, etc R.I.P to the men from both sides of the war. R.I.P and well done!

As I have said before, my Grandfather's, Great Uncles my Father have served in the army . I would have joined but my Father cancelled my application to join. The year was 1977, due to the troubles in Northern Ireland, need i say more. I'm proud of being British . The going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them. This was their finest hour.

Its just the way it was decoded, and combine that with LCD screens at a venue that you see on the tv, it all just gone a bit fuzzy, I think it was scrolling the names of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice from 2012 to 2013. Hope that answers you question.

Indeed, in full screen at 3:22-3:25 or so, there is a view of the screens which clearly shows the names, rank and age of those to be remembered.

first of all it is not only arabic but Russian was also seen, and secondly, Anzac day is to commemorate the fallen troops ( commonwealth) and if there are people from different nationalities at the felicitate which means they must also understand. This could also be a symbolic gesture to promote unity amongst different ethnicities during Anzac Day.

Neil Sandilands Its in English but blurry because the low quality video. It's the names of British soldiers who died in Afghanistan. If you pause the video you can see first few lines start with Lance Corporal then a name and then their age at the end in a number.
