My 4gs had a bit of play in the pot .didn't return to center . A put a shim made out of the back side of a sticker now works great . I made some 18650 2s battery packs(with balance plugs) for it from some dead dewalt packs . Fit and worked good . Nice to fast charge but the lithium ions last for ever as well.

With an ESC/electric vehicle, ATL seems to adjust the strength of the brakes. Lowering the setting lowers the strength. I set it to a lower number until wheels stop locking up when applying brake from full speed. The vehicle coasts a little more. This can get you into trouble if you need to lock the wheels to stop quickly to avoid a collision, for example. For racing, I prefer the control with lighter braking. I also prefer adjusting the ATL over using ABS. The ABS produces a pulse in the brakes that I do not like. Maybe I need to play with settings for ABS more?

If i have two rcs, do i have to press the bind button on each receiver again if i want to use the controller for that one rc?

Regarding long range.. it's considered 'long' by RC surface radio standards. It's ~2000ft RF range with the included receiver, but considering DJI has 10km range on their drones, it's not comparable to that type of range.

I was looking at this radio recently and was pretty impressed with its specs. I'm currently debating on this or one of the less expensive fly sky radio's for my Traxxas Slash 4x4 because I want to be able to have both my 2wd and 4wd able to run at the same time (I only own my Futaba 4pls and the pre-bluetooth traxxas TQi which not impressed with the traxxas radio's range)

For your bashers I'd say this is a good option or the 4ch model for even less $, keep the futaba for racing and get radiolink for bashing. The receivers are cheaper than traxxas with similar protocol speed, gyro stability, telemetry, etc.

I'd be interested inyour take on the power switch. I found on my Radiolink that the switch can be bumped accidentally (not even reaching the switch detent) and turn the transmitter off while in use.

@5:27 I don't think that's a charge port. The manual says it's a "simulator port".

Just an FYI, and YMMV, but I put a 3S in mine and the range went up significantly. Easily 1800 meters from an 8 ft platform. The best Tx if you're going to do surface fpv.

@@luigibellantoni6828 I have my doubts, most radios have an internal voltage regulator and most radio decks (the internal RF circuitry) further regulate that voltage to lower voltage. The part that boost the signal strength is the amplifier circuit which is specifically designed for it and doesn't rely on the battery voltage (if you check, there's a wide voltage range).
