The massive RC Truck build continues!
In this video, we continue the 3363 build and start to fit all the electronics. This truck will have the Tamiya Euro Style MFC-03 Sound and lighting installed as well as the upgraded remote hitch.
Will this go off in my face if I cut the wrong wire? The pressure is on and the clock is ticking...

In most 1/14 tractor trucks the forward/reverse and the gear selector is all linked together on the same gimbal on a gate style platform for example…. Forward first gear would be top left, Forward second gear is top middle, Forward third gear is top right. Reverse first gear is bottom left, Reverse second gear is bottom middle, Reverse third is bottom right. There shouldn’t be any need to have a gear selector on a separate switch. That way you don’t have try to get used to using switches and toggles for each individual action. Looks great and coming along nicely.👍

Good progress Gavin!! I'm telling you, it's going to be a labour of love, and you'll want MORE! 😳 Always good, having the Shift on a Rocker Switch. Managing the 3 Speed with the Throttle Stick - is a real FAFF!!!

Hi Gavin, that chassis with all the wires, looked a bit like Alannah Currie from the Thompson Twins back in the 80’s LOL😂😂😂. Watching with interest. Take care, keep well and all the best. 😊😉😊

Come on Gavin get a grip ! As you now know you have probably upwards of £800 worth of truck and you are struggling to operate it with a £20 radio ?? Throw that in the parts bin and get your missus to treat you to an early Christmas present of a half decent radio. If you want some superb tips on setting up and using the mfu, have a look at “hobby concepts” KZfaq channel, he is a mine of information and it’s a must watch to operate your unit correctly. Even with a cheap radio !!😜

For my truck I used the Carson Reflex 6ch controller as it supposedly easy to set up the MFC with it, personally I found it hard and gave the job to my local modelshop. When it came back not all the function's worked correctly and there was alot of slide this trim here slide that trim there pull that stick down just to get something to work. I'm about to switch to the Flysky FS-i6x controller its used widely on these trucks and theres a few really good set up videos on KZfaq, you will need to watch these video's as you'll need to set the controller up before you even start the mfc setup

You should get a Flysky fs i6 transmitter for truck its around £50 you can also get the kit on ebay to get the throttle stick to self centre

thrown the crappy transmitter in the bin and get a proper radio.... I've set 100s of the MFCs up and it really matters what controller you use to be able to get all the functions from the MFC. you need either trims or dual rate for the RX channels that control J6 and J7 to get all the functions to work. Also, you need to plug in the coupler servo into J9 on the MFC to be able to to operate the servo with a proportional stick as it will need 4 precise positions to operate the electric trailer legs. Never spend 100s of £s on a model and control it with a crap radio.

Try checking the mesh between your motor pinion and gearbox input, if it is too tight it will sap power and be very noisy and lead to premature failure. Tear a piece from the build manual and insert it between the two gears, this will give you your correct mesh.

Did you use to motor that were included in the kit, or have you fitted a different motor? Because from what I gather, on a King Hauler, the truck goes way too fast with the included motor. Also, is there a way to adjust the acceleration of the motor, to be more in sync with the motor audio. I had a truck, fitted with the MFC (I think that was the name of the Tamiya sound kit) but I hated how the truck would move before the engine sound / audio indicated that it should move. I have plans of building myself a King Hauler, but I will probably not go for the MFC sound kit. I was thinking if I could make something using arduino, or perhaps there are other sound kits out there which the motor speed and engine sound are more in sync.

Which kit is the touringcar with the n1 and white wheels behind you? A kid in school (i was 12 maybe) had one i think, but the box art showed the car in a red color. Can't seem to find that edition (if it actualy Is that one) anywhere. I think we're talking 93-95 era here, so that model behind you could be from the same year but be a different one.

Yep it's compleatly different. The Ford F350 was a step towards the truck so it was good to do that first.
