Yup, this is actually a good move. I believe RE has done it for their own accessory aux lamp, which might become available if regulations permit. But in the mean time, this can make things really simple and safe(considering it has its own fuse and all) ;) Cheers

What's the fuse rating for the aux line? I guess this should have a dedicated fuse in the fuse box, right? Edit: I also assume that this is a switched power line. Can you confirm this?

Do i need to mount a light switch between that plug and the auxiliary lights or is it controlled by the standard switches on the handlebar?

This is just a 12V switched power supply. You will need a seperate switch to power your aux lights on/off or you can put them on directly to have them permanently on with your ignition

Nope, you can access it from the left side of the tank, a bit fighety though

I am currently ordering the mad dog lights. So relay harness key won't be required?
