It took over a year of dedicated searching for an answer to low functioning depression and trauma to finally land on Tim's videos. I think KZfaq tends not to recommend religious ones because there's almost always a Christian component at the end.

Another reason for people with complex trauma being unable to be concise (I'm speculating here) is they lack the practice others have. It takes practice and feedback to be concise.

These videos are incredible. I am an ACOA and suffer from complex trauma and you have answered the questions I have had all my life. Why am I nervous all the time and there isn't anything to be nervous about but yet it's still there. I also grew up in a dogmatic, damning God church so that has really affected me. I am in recovery and making progress, but changing all of this is extremely hard especially when it's subconscious. I am currently studying to become a Complex PTSD coach hoping to help others someday. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for producing these videos.

Don't worry i was at the same place and it helps identify what happened to you and when it happened then you get clarity then you use the tools to get through it and live daily life.

Your videos have been a big blessing recently, working out how to have healthier relationships with others. I particularly appreciate the way you talk about a healthy approach to faith. This is such a tricky area having been in environments where faith based concepts are used in unhealthy ways. Thank you for the work you do!

I lost the desire to connect with others a long time ago. I haven’t had a friend since I was 13 years old. I am now 36 years old. I have tried to connect, in years past, but that deep and natural longing is dead. It feels more like hard labor with no return and extreme exhaustion. No pleasure derived.

I very much enjoyed this talk. I noticed a lot of information about language and I'd very much like to further read on the theory of language and communication from your sources. Is there a way I can access your sources (books and-or articles)? Thank you!

Can you speak on standing up to a friend for shaming me and losing the friendship. I'm ok with it cause I'm practicing principles before personality I learned in coda I also learned to speak up for myself ..the scenario was me going to work sick and that person shamed me and I stood up for myself.

Sometimes we go into that inner child that has powerful dependency needs. So when we stick up for ourselves, we can feel like we’re losing that dependent (survival threat for a child). It’s just really conditioning. So we can have a lot of anxiety when we actually hold boundaries. It just takes practice. You’re doing great!

When you close with prayer, why do you not ask in JESUS name?
@nataliemesbah1639
@nataliemesbah1639 2 ай бұрын
Hello, Rachel! I realize I’m replying to an older message but did you see his video explaining why yet? He said that Jesus meant to align our desires with His and that alignment is how we would approach God with our desires, not needing to ask in Jesus’ name. He explained it better than I just did but it was definitely a specific response to why he doesn’t close, “in Jesus’s name.” ***Anger and Complex Trauma-Part 9/11 Characteristics of Abusers (4 years ago)***
