All three of my Enfield's are easy to work on. Think they engineer that into these bikes. Wahoo!

Wow that's nice video and closeups you got while servicing. I didn't get much chance to get more details and my mechanic shop denied me access but did shot few clips for me..

I’m surprised at how dark that oil was, my interceptor looked like the oil was brand new at my first service

It would be nice if you actually showed how to adjust the tappets and turning the crank to align valves and using the TDC tool etc. Since there is no service manual offered for the Super Meteor 650 it would help DIY guys like myself.

Hard to do with one set of hands...I'll work on that. Wahoo!

I don't think it is. This one seems bigger. Works very well for me.

It amazes me how smooth these big singles are . Have you been putting coffee in the oil ?!

Is the rear suspension a little too soft? Does it feel bad when you go over a speed breaker or some bad terrain? I've heard about this problem. Does putting it on a slightly stiffer setting help?
@thefuzzybiker1719 ай бұрын
When I picked up the bike the rear suspension was set way too soft. Really hit you one the bigger bumps. Took it back to Baxter Cycle and we adjusted it up. Now the bike rides a hundred times better. We think the suspension comes set soft from the factory causing this issue. Was at Baxter's yesterday and noticed that the two Super Meteor's they had have the rear suspension set up for an American size rider. Am thinking that every Super Meteor should have the rear suspension adjusted to the rider. So yes, Suspension was too soft, bike rides much better after it is adjusted properly. Very good question. Thank you!

EFI with it's leaness cooks oil to death in short notice. I watched a HD big twin being worked on 300 miles since it's last oil change and the oil came out black as coal. Not good. Today's motorcycles are a collection of government regulations on 2 wheels.

We'll keep that oil changed. Wahoo!

@@thefuzzybiker171 You don't get it. Inas little as 300 miles the oil was cooked to death. Once that happens the oil loses all it's lubricating properties. My carburetor equipped Sportster runs 200* in Florida in the summer 🌞 which is why it has 400,000 miles on the original engine. I have had her for 25 years now still runs good and doesn't burn oil. Every. EFI motorcycle I have watched get worked on the pistons looked like they were BBQ on a grill. Of course you can get a carb conversion and a new exhaust pipe but then your motorcycle is not so cheap anymore. 25% of the purchase price is for pollution controls. Today's motorcycles are a collection of government regulations on 2 wheels. So 😢 sad.
