I wouldn’t stress too much about the dip in channel performance, I find it happens a couple of times a year for no reason whatsoever, it’ll come back up eventually. From talking to a few other ‘tubers’ this has been their experience too. Keep going I say 🙂

Morning Dave. KZfaq Analytics really do get us concerned and elated in equal measure at times. When I sold my Interceptor 650, I expected to take a drop in subs, but it didn’t happen, which on the one hand made me quite sad, as Honour had really given my channel it’s foundation, but on the other hand, confirmed my belief that my Classic 350 was the more popular of the two bikes. I have recently passed the 1500 subscriber count, and I am actually quite amazed that so many people want to join us on our rides. I very much doubt that I will ever get to 5k let alone 10k 😅. Keep plugging away mate.

Just keep doing what you're doing, Dave. My better half has a cooking channel on a different platform and her numbers vary for no apparant reason, too. It's very easy to over-analyse these things and get self-doubt as a result. Personally, I watch your videos for the content, ie, where you go and the scenery you pass through, plus your comments, as I do with another RE KZfaqr who has already commented here. Yes, I like Royal Enfields, predominantly watch and would like to have one, but I ride a Suzuki VL250 and a recently-acquired Honda CTX700N, so for me, it's not about a particular model. I first rode a motorcycle (98cc James Comet) back in 1959 and was bitten by the bug; it's a lifetime affliction!

I can’t remember ,but I think I first started watching your content probably as a suggestion on my screen . I like a couple of the RE bikes , but as yet never owned one . I watch your channel because I enjoy the down to earth no nonsense content, & the scenic rides in your neck of the woods . It doesn’t matter what bikes you choose to ride ,although I have a preference for Hondas & Suzukis as non of those makes have ever let me down. My advice for what it’s worth ,is to just carry on being yourself & doing what you do. 👍

Hello Dave, I've only this morning in fact discovered your channel and I liked and enjoyed this video. I have liked and subscribed not because of the Royal Enfield, but I like the content and your style of presenting. I'm 74 years old and have been riding bikes since I was 16 years of age, it's definitely a bug. At the moment I ride a Honda CB1300 and I love it. I hope you keep up the good work, thanks for a enjoyable video, all the best and be lucky.

Your classic 350 videos are what used to draw my interest, great commentary through picturesque scenery on a classic machine = a compelling combination. The cruiser and Honda just don’t have the soul. Each to their own though.

I appreciated the heads up on the Slaidburn to Bentham road. The Trough is my goto destination but that was new to me. Good luck with the channel.

I wouldn't think there is much more to it than people look for bike content in the Spring and Summer nice weather more than they do in a wet and miserable Summer and Autumn. Keep doing what you do. It'll grow.

I had a lot of buffering, so bought a £15 screen extender off amazon and sofar has been working a treat. Been to South of France and back on my SM650, and was a massive joy to ride and did not miss a beat.

Keep your head up and keep the videos coming. I like the riding scenery of the country side.

I hope you bought that Super Meteor because you really wanted it and not because you wanted to make content that would raise your subs. I think it's important to remember what riding bikes is all about, personal pleasure and not pandering to a fickle youtube audience.

I'm subscribed to a number of motorcycle channels, but yours is one of the main ones I watch as soon as a new video is uploaded. It must be difficult trying to think up interesting topics to make into videos twice a week unless you go down the fitting of "bling" route. You could add a Royal Alloy scooter to the stable as they are very popular at the moment or a review from the perspective of a biker?. I do run a scooter alongside my other bikes. There is a great channel called Scooter in the Sticks where Steve runs Vespas alongside his RE Himalayan and Kawasaki W650. Anyway, keep doing what you do.

As a subscriber who does not own, nor ever owned an RE, just enjoy the no nonsense chat/rides and reviews and the lovely part f the world you ride in, although I appreciate many will follow for a specific bike you may ride, the RE 350s certainly have an almost cult following.

Reason?..Selling the CLASSIC 350!! But you should do this because you ENJOY it and not because of the money it generates , look at it as a hobby not a business and if you cant afford it THEN give it up or scale back a little..

TEC bike parts are in the process of releasing a set of pipes, but you must admit the OEM does sound great, I have fitted a DNA filter to my Super Meteor, I'm impressed with the throttle response and the air induction noise. Always great content, keep on going, looking forward to the new cruiser review 👍

Ayup Dave. I came across your channel when you had your Crosstourer, and your reviews went some way to me getting one.... and happy I am with it too. Since then I've enjoyed your musings, rants and reviews because of the down to earth, no BS style and delivery. The runs out are great, regardless of what bike you're on. Dont get too hung up on the 'dip', Your content is appreciated and enjoyed pal. A higher mounted cam would be good, so we can see more of the wonderful views. Maybe too some more longer distance runs on the Pan as the weather gets cooler? Cheers Gruff

Hello From Connecticut. U.S Love those Royal Enfeild Super Metors. Waiting until my local dealer gets them here in the U.S. I ride a 2023 Indian Cheiftain Dark Horse and a 2022 Goldwing both with huge motors but I love the idea of owning a 650 Enfeild. Just Subscribed. Goodluck with the channel. You know sometimes the You Tube Algorithm just has a brain fart and it stops recomending a channel.

Personally I'm not bothered what you ride, although having said that I don't really fancy a Royal Oilfield, mainly due to very low service intervals, 3000 miles is was to low. You keep enjoying yourself and, keep entertaining us 🤞.

As you live in a area absolutely just right for the classic,the classic & intercepter do have a massive world wide following & there fan base is growing as people riding habits change(due mainly to environmental/economic & government restrictions reasons?)am hoping one day in better times for us all you may get another classic or even the New Bullet! By the way da e I think you missed an opportunity to do something very unusual! You should of done a quick review of that little loan scooter lol!

Id do that front screen with Rain X mate...also the Hitchcocks exhausts do sound good..mine came with S&S cans but ( ceptor) but if standard i would have fitted them, XCP is good my bike gets laid up over winter outside sadly i used XCP last year and it was a arse to clean off in the spring...using GT65 this year coating the bike a few times when i do some start ups during winter...

On the Subject of the Super Meteor... I was all about the Classic 350 when I first saw them, I thought, that's the perfect potter about/ commuter bike for me... Then I was in a dealership (in Hillington, near Glasgow), where they had the whole range of Royal Enfield bikes, and although I still love the Classic, that Meteor 350 drew me towards it... so when the time comes to buy a new bike, it's going to be a tough decision.

A new subscriber here. Thought I would share some thoughts with you. If you really enjoy what you are doing, and there are those who enjoy it with you (regardless of how many or how few), don't worry about the numbers who aren't there. Its about the ones who are there and what you and they enjoy together. Just enjoy doing what you love and sharing it with those out there who feel the same. If you focus on the numbers, there will be the tendency to pander, and you will lose your authenticity.

The problem is now to many uk KZfaqrs all looking to get rich off KZfaq offering the same old bike reviews done to death some of the most successful KZfaqrs don’t own many bikes but come up with unique content that’s why there successful to many think a garage full of bikes will make them successful on KZfaq it doesn’t you need unique content and a personality that keeps people coming back.

Fear not! could be seasonal also, we've not had the best summer anyway which could have done some damage in itself. My SM will be out and about as much as possible through the dark months of autumn and winter (same model of yours but blue) not when salty or icy of course. You are on the right path now you have featured a scooter.

As a confirmed spanner-o-phobe I take my bike to a garage (Drayton Croft Kawasaki, Hinckley)to have a regular chain service, although in fairness the bike has now covered 3,000 miles since its last chain service and "it barely needed any adjustment at all" such is the quality of modern chains. Drayton Croft are also a RE dealer and (as you do) I always have a look around while they're servicing the bike. I do quite like the looks of the RE's, very 'easy on the eye'...Nonetheless, not quite ready to give up on the Hayabusa just yet...

Good morning, I hope your numbers turn around soon. Maybe there are weather or seasonal impacts? Ironically, I think I came to your channel because you have the ST1300 of which I am very fond. I also love traditional looking bikes like the Bonneville and the RE line. I really like the Meteor 650. It is in what I think is the sweet spot for displacement (~750cc). I wish we had a better RE dealer network in the US. I seldom see one here in northern Pennsylvania (US). When I am not riding one of my Hondas, I have a HD Dyna. They have a fabulous dealer network in the US. It seems that I am never far from an HD dealership. The Dyna is a great traditional looking bike, but too loud and too heavy. I think that Meteor would be just the thing.

Nice to see somebody using and mentioning xcp clear coat over ACF-50 which seems to be ingrained with a lot of riders and the go too 😊

I would like to see a video about your Royal Alloy, if you haven't made one. I'm a Vespa rider, and I have been curious about those. How is the quality? I never saw one around where I live.

I think I would have to change the pipes, the std ones are to quiet for me, but hard if no one has stock for sure

Don't like the pastiche Lambretta, wouldn't be seen dead on one, it's amazing to me to see more of these on the roads than say a Peugeot Django. Each to their own....

Hi Dave .. firstly keep the content coming, apart from the bikes and stunning landscapes your wavering into political overtones are nothing but great. With regard to the replacing the cans, it was on my to do list with my new SM650 when I got it in July but due to availability it wasn’t initially an option, however what I did do was instal the DNA filter from Hitchcocks which gave both a better sound and better performance in that centre band between 30 - 60 mph in my opinion and with regard to the sound whilst slightly improved keeps them relatively non intrusive. I’m sticking with what I’ve got, and of course the DNA is a lot cheaper than a new set of cans. Not that I’m a Yorkshire man!!! 😄 Kind Regards
