I don't think it's underrated anymore, though(like s1). Sure it's not as popular as mainstream show like Aot, but in the anime community I believe Re:zero is one of big title.

I can remember so many examples: - Satella's dialogue with Subaru in front of all the witches, and the fact that she has split personalities. - The fact that Emilia saw herself for the first time during her 2nd trial (because of her contract with Puck). - The Echidna that was in the graveyard was different from the Echidna that Emilia and Subaru met during the trials (That's why Emilia didn't recognise her during ep 23). - The contract between Subaru and Beatrice. Also (Possible Spoilers here): - Wilhem's wound has reopened, and that wound was made by his wife (Theresia). The wound gets stronger as the one who caused it is closer, so... 👀 - Echidna resurrection taking over the body of Ryuzu Shima being also able to communicate with the other witches.

@@TGLReacts re zero is meant to attract a certain type of person b4 subverting expectations and calling many of those people out on their bullshit. some love it for that reason, and some hate it for that reason. And as such, a lot of ppl went in with certain expectations and was left offended or came out with the literal mindset that the series was critiquing. in this way, the series became infamous for one of it's waifus that most ppl didn't comprehend and were enraged when the mc acted like his own person and not a self insert. its not the typical anime, which is offensive to many people lol
