Oh my God. I have never been able to clear the dungeon area for the silver mask without any injuries, even in casual mode. Following your guide, I was able to do this part and the entire castle so smoothly! Seriously, your guides are a godsend. Thank you for taking the time to make these! :D

Sorry for the double post, but thought my other one could help out some people. Fantastic guide again! Didn't knew about the dynamic difficulty system in the game, so thanks a lot for that info. I used a couple different guides months ago to get everything done in this DLC, but this guide gets everything done in one sitting and also has the most consistent strategies I have seen. Thank you so much for all these great guides Optinoob! Often times people don't care about bonus challenges if they don't contribute to trophies, so it's always very much appreciated by completionists like me.

Doing Shadows of Rose on Hardcore is the last achievement left for me to do. I've done it once on Normal, and once on easy for no healing run... I'm pretty scared of this Hardcore. lol Hoping your guide will help. -p.s. Yay! Done and done. I was around 6 minutes behind your time. Mostly cause of switching from the game to video back and forth. 100% achieves. Sweet. Now I can focus fully on RE 4 Remake.

Can confirm this guide works like a charm as of Jan 2023. Thank you so much dude, really good guide and great commentary. Just a note to others, for the first boss fight, try and make sure you optimise your shotgun shells as he does. You want to save enough for the end fight. If you'd like a way to conserve even more ammo towards the end, at 1:13:36, you can run past most of the enemies if you're lucky. You'll take one hit of damage but you can heal it off. When you get to the next section where you pick up the white sprig and handgun ammo, you can run past everyone till the final guy pops, shotgun him in the head, get rid of the mold, take one hit of damage, and then fall down the hole. Again, it's trading health for ammo, so up to you :)

and thats that knocked out as well. missed one sprig and had to improvise against the first boss but wasnt too bad. another great guide :3

I’m double-posting again because I forgot something that I don’t think was mentioned in the guide here. If you are out of white sage during the Miranda fight, it’s not a big deal. It’s INCREDIBLY easy to dodge Miranda by just pressing left/right and B (XBox control) over and over. Then, when you see Miranda throwing yellow orbs at you, press LB the second they are about to hit you. Each one you collect will refill your power cells. While it is pretty easy to have enough white sage following Optinoob’s guide here, if you want to make things a little easier and use some power cells during some of the harder spots (such as the piano room with the gold mask, for example), the Miranda boss can be done without any white sages.

For those who might have saved handgun bullets in the castle and used two power cells, you can save some white sages by only using handgun bullets during the boss’s SECOND stage. It’s pretty easy if you keep some distance from him.

For anyone struggling to land all the handgun shots on the enemies: Most times you can lure the enemies to the doors connecting to another room, and if you go through they stop chasing you (Sometimes they only stop 2 or 3 doorways away from the starting room). But if you get only halfway through the door, the enemy will still try to attack you but can't get further because of boundaries. Makes it easy to land headshots and save some ammo. (Best to practice the exact distance needed to still have aggro but not get hit by the enemies). This is especially useful for the first couple enemies in the little library after getting your first flask and the ones near the monocular key. Edit: It's shown at 22:00 Edit 2: The game sometimes has items just vanish when you use your powers on the cores which lets vases or stuff drop and shatter. Had it happen to me for the shotgun shells on the top floor of the piano room. Just be aware of that and load a quicksave if it happens.

More resident evil content 👍. Ive been waiting for the gold edition to release before playing this DLC. The only gold edition I've come across are different from the last resident evil gold editions. It comes with a stupid redeem code instead of already on the disc 😡. Hopefully that'll change in the future.

Question: there's a picture on the ground in the courtyard next to a corpse, upon examination and flipping it around it reads "monocular door deep in the basement" I tried going back to the basement, but I can't seem to go all the way back to the cells and other parts of the dungeon. I'm wondering if this door is hidden, but I do remember seeing some kind of monocular door going through one of the cell blocks. or if we used this monocular key basement door while finding the masks. Answer if you have anything because I'm thinking of replaying the castle because this one piece of info is driving me so nuts.

Hey noob, so for the mercenaries, castle II, the basement part, you know when you run through the enemies and get them to despawn, then take out the giant, idk if the despawn is patched on ps5 but I can’t really find a good method… I’ve beaten that part but for some reason enemies are stuck at 18 and my streak ends with one enemy remaining… if you could help bro that’d be awesome

If I follow the vid called “RE4 Remake all trophies in 14:19:11 only 3 playthroughs” am I guaranteed to get the platinum in that vid even if I am a noob at resident evil games? And lastly would you maybe consider doing a platinum walkthrough on Diablo 4? I saw the bad guy for that game called Lilith, the demon lady and apparently there is a variant of her you fight that’s super super tough called “Uber Lilith”. Now idk about other ppl but I’d love your unique insight and “noob” approach on how to defeat her. The funny thing is, no one has killed her yet, imagine if you were the first!! Thanks again Opti!

Well I got all the trophys, but sadly didn't get the time challange as I was 31 milliseconds over the time requiered! I've retryed and got close to 1:30:16, lol. I wasn't really going for the challanges, but the cheeky inner completionist was comming out. IDK how I messed up the time that bad considering I was following the video pretty well, but the big boss fight dude with the axe did give me a lot of trouble... sometimes I sware hitting that restart option also can reset the difficulty back up really high as well. Awe... well at least I could fly through it all again on easy if I wanted too, but F! that house of horrors! I hate that place so much... I hated the giant fetus in the OG story, I hated the maniquins in Rose and I hated the Little Nightmares segment as well. I should just finish up the two dlc new Merc levels and put the game away, lol. Anyway, so much for just making life easier and sticking to trophys, but I can't help myself... I even went through most of the castle on orange health! Thanks Optinoob! You're a real pro! ; D

Followed your guide faithfully and those boss guys with the spiky mace do not take less hits if you die twice before them, doesn't matter, gave up, this is the worst dlc I've ever played, an absolute affront that they charge money for this dung.
