Fell in love with React, but my bootcamp teaches Vue because they partner with some big insurance companies/banks that are(were) desperately looking for Vue devs. I'm happy to learn both. I'm getting to the point where I'm getting very happy working with different libraries/frameworks. Part of the reason I love Tailwind is because my JS/CSS/HTML all becomes visible in one file thanks to react&tailwind. I know Vue helps but all the css is in a different location. But, tailwind can really make some massive css files behind the hood so you've got to wonder about compile times with it. Anyways. Both are great, as you try to find jobs, either is fine imo. Any react dev could convert to vue, and vice versa, but getting your resume to shine, I think targeting tech that has a lower population of devs is generally smart.

Unless you want to work for big corpos, learn typescript, learn rxjs and do things the angular way (rigid way, one mistake and the shit won't compile), I'd recommend *staying away from it.* I'm currently learning it and is hard because wtf is an observable and why do I have to use RxJS for everything ffs, anyway, I think learning Angular as your first FE framework is an overkill, but it's worth it in the long run since there's always demand for Angular developers and most newcomers are afraid of this mess (with good reason).

Although I initially began learning Angular, I found that vue.js was much easier to grasp. In my opinion, rather than solely focusing on frameworks, it is more crucial to hone one's core skills, such as CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. Additionally, having an understanding of browser engine rendering is a more valuable use of time than striving to master every framework out there.

The Jobs Count Vs Dev Count is a good argument. My Hoby is game development with the Godot engine. Godot is gowing in adoption in building commercial games and AR/VR apps. There are more Unity Game/App development jobs but far for unity developers. Unity development basicly is a low pay job at this point but every time I consulted some company on Godot I made $150/h. But there are almost no Godot Jobs, I just build my AR/VR apps and mobile games with godot.

The never ending story : D I feel more connected to Vue, so i do Vue. I guess the no big cooperation nature is the thing. I know, when i watch stefs first version of react vs vue. Meen, i already had a GameDev Background but this WebDev Thing is mindblowing. But overall I reccomend, just keep going. Its a lot, but managable. The classical Path looks like: Figma (UI/UX) HMTL, CSS, JS. Then build your own framework (ask gpt to guide you). Then you understand the problem what they try to solve. Then jump into a Framework. (State, ClientRouting, Hooks) Then make a Website in a day. If you are too slow, because of CSS or something, do it again. Then learn Node and create an API Then learn a Database (NoSql or Sql) Then make an API in a day, keep it stupid simple. If you are too slow, do it again. Then create a UI, Code the UI, rip the Data out, Push it into a DB, Make an API, Connect DB and API, Connect API and Code, Fill the created Holes again. If you are too slow, do it again. Then learn a Metaframework. Then create a UI, Code the UI, rip the Data out, Push it into a DB, Make an API, Fill the the created Holes. If you are too slow, do it again. 🥳🥳🥳YOU DID IT🥳🥳🥳 Now make 5 Websites for 5 Friends in 5 Days.

I remember learning Vue 2 , i was surprised how intuitive it was, especially the option API and I was introduced to the concept of Spa. Then Vue 3 came out , the composition api looks like it took away the simplicity that vue 2 came with. Then i learned React JS i just felt more connected to it and I am using react Js ever since.

But you can still use options api in vue 3

The composition API needs some getting used to, but it generally gets intuitive as you continue to use it. I transitioned from vue 2 to 3 and experienced same difficulty. I now prefer the composition API.

Options API is not deprecated. You can still use it.

Now if you know well react, vue with composition api is the same, actually i prefer the fact that you can have global state just exporting the reactive variable from a file, something you cannot do in React, and then Pinia man is amazing.

In the UK vast amount of webdev / software jobs are PHP, wordpress and the core web techs. To be honest, something I'm trying to avoid. React fairly rare on the job sites. Angular prob much more common I'm seeing in the UK. I do like react though; Wanted to learn NextJS & react , but whenever I see react jobs its always an after thought in the job specs normally. But changed my mind and decided to focus on angular.

I use Booth but Vue for me is really simpler. Vue is fater (Perfomance) Easy to learn Not too many Hooks like in react And feel more natural. Reat is just good because of reactive native.

Ruby usage goes up, PHP usage (and salaries) plummets, and Vue is still miles ahead from React unlike what you predicted. I don't like it either, I've moved on to Rust, but your predictions over the years are just predictions.

I started using Vue at my new (and first) dev job with no training, only learned the basics for a few days. I was impressed by how simple it was and easy to figure out. Barely used any documentation because the code is so easy to understand. Plus I really enjoy using HTML and JS.

I think front-end frameworks doesn't matter much except if tey aren't used with their server-side rendering frameworks. I personally learned jquery later than react and i prefer it, it satisfies all of my needs with vanilla js. I think that rules they force you to obey makes that frameworks cost too much if there is no ssr frameworks involved.

On real projects, that involes dosens of pages and hundreds of components You would appreciate something like React much more. Can't imagine that such things are written with jquery. It's possible in theory but working on such project would be agonizing

@@1Malak16 on a recent time i worked about a real estate website that involves bunch of sliders, advanced search forms(with tons of districts and cities) and all the hard work done in 1 month and that website has 40-50 page and 50-60 components on total. I made that website with firebase-express-jquery-vanilla js stack. Making sliders and advanced search forms with react would be very slow and terrible because of that re-rendering and virtual dom things and massive bundle size. Yes, if they're basic and usually all are use the same components react could be very practical but that was not my case, i don't use most of the components more than 1 or 2 pages.
