He is one who never played the record deal game. He produced his own music. Sold 30 million albums. Played jam sessions with Albert Collins Funk Jams on youtube. Toured as opening band for headliners in UK, USA and played in Japan, Spain, France. He's not "star" famous cuz he's was not playing for that. Just for his fans and himself. A very humble guy. RIP Rory.

@@827dusty Great, you can count. So what's your point? It's called a subjective mood clause. You're mixing this up with the phrase The king is dead, long live the king! Which has a totally different meaning and application. Maybe you'll understand it more this way Long Live The Memory of Rory! You must read the Bible as completely literal.

Best live act I ever saw. Rory was somethin' else ! I wouldn't compare him to Hendrix as they both played in their own style and were both sheer genius.

This Irish Rocker is routinely considered one of the top, if not the top guitarist in Rock history. Personally, I and many others, believe Jimi Hendrix is the best ever. Speaking of Jimi, He met Rory in the 60s when Jimi was touring Europe with The Jimi Hendrix Experience. They didn't spend a lot of time together, but they both very much admired each other's abilities. Both were very humble men, and Jimi called Rory, the best guitarist that nobody knows, outside of the UK. High praise from Jimi.

Gerry McAvoy on bass and Ted McKenna on drums. McKenna har known for Michael Schenker Group, Sensational Alex Harvey Band and others. McAvoy also played in Nine Below Zero.

I first heard Rory when he was 18 and I was 15. He was playing with Taste. Rory is so influential in today’s music that it’s hard to equate. Show me a modern guitarist that says he wasn’t influenced by Rory, and I’ll show you a liar.

Actually I saw Rory play Chuck Berry’s Nadine with full band and brass .. it was great - he recorded Nadine on I think the Jinx album … actually Hendrix saw him in London . Rory played everything from rock to jazz - ballads and blues -

Consistently the biggest reason i play guitar. I love many other players and what they have done, but his playing has always spoken to me just a little louder and with a sly grin. We lost that man far too early and he deserved better, but that's why i spread the gospel.

Unfortunely they choose one of Rory's weakest songs. Much too traditionally primitive rock n roll - boring. There are so many much better recordings in YT: Rock Palast 1974 and 1976 for example. Goodest songs "Tatoo'd Lady" and "Million Miles Away".
