2 quick things. Ohio state is favored to beat Oregon by 1.5 (slim) but home field is worth 3 pts. Michigans coaching turnover is what should scare their fans. 5 new starters on the o line. And a new qb. Of the top schools in the conference Ohio state to me is the only team that is more talented than the previous roster. The others have either taken a step back or look about the same. I do see Nebraska moving up to that 8-9 win realm and possibly competing for a playoff spot in 2025.

Love the content. The way I see it is can Scatterfield and the rest of Nebraskas play makers all get on the same page and execute consistently. Play calling, having a well defined game plan and team identity is what enables teams to get progressively better throughout the season in the B1G. If Marcus can't do that this year and capitalize on the progress we have been making. We may be looking for two new Coordinators in early December. Scatt needs his best season ever as a coach. We need 9 wins, a big signature win will help alot or recruits will lose confidence. GBR.

This may be too early to ask, but when will you be making your season predictions? My pre-season prediction is Nebraska will win at least 6 games, with the ceiling being 8 wins.

I follow Michigan State quite clearly, and I think your analysis of my Spartans is very good. I’m just not sure what we’ll get this year. I think the absolute, “everything goes better than expected” ceiling is 9-3, but the “everything falls apart” floor is 2-10. I think 6-6 is most likely this year, even though Vegas has the O/U at 4.5 wins.

Also some of these schools need to step up and do something. There are some that have a target on their back as being the first ones to be dismissed from the conference as the Super Conference starts to come into effect. As an Iowa fan we had some news coming from spring practice that i didn’t expect you to hear since your focus is on Nebraska. What they said is that Tim Lester’s offense had serious changes from the way it was previously, and when Kirk ferentz was asked about it he didn’t know everything going on, insinuating that he is not keeping the OC under his thumb. I think he learned his lesson from that embarrassing offense

Believe you got year 1 for Riley a bit wrong, went 11-3 and had not only fantastic skill players but a good Oline.....the D was abysmal but the new D staff and back 7 show a lot of promise. Both lines are thin but expect them to surprise a couple of teams with 8-9 wins

What happens when all these big names in recruting choose other schools to go to? Most big schools have way more recruits at this point then nebraska. None of nebraskas top targets are locks at all and have big names that have been way better then nebraska over the last 20 years. Im worried honestly nebraska is going to strike out and have the worst recruting class we have had in a long time.

I'm telling you all now. Michigan will NOT be taking a step back at all. Yes, the offense will look different from last year. No JJ McCarthy, a new offensive line, etcetera, but year in and year out Michigan is known to reload up front, not rebuild. Look for the offense to work around whoever wins the QB1 job, but Donovan Edwards is back and he's an elite running back. If Orji is the starterat QB, he's an elite runner. So look for the offense to look different, but not necessarily worse. Defensively they are elite. They will finish the season in the top 3-5 in the nation. They will defeat Ohio State for a fourth straight year and win the conference, mark my words. They will make a serious run in the playoffs. Take it to the bank. Go Irish. My pick to play for a National Championship. They will meet, and beat The Wolverines in the playoffs.

I am a lifelong Ohio State fan. When I found out Nebraska was joining the BIG TEN way back then I was very happy. Every game against Oklahoma I was riding with the Huskers all the way.
