Rutgers' win total is outright disrespectful, especially given how much they return and how EASY their schedule is. I have been high on them since I saw their schedule and when doing research I find it nearly impossible for them to not improve over last year's record. You should feel 150% confident about winning money on betting over 5.5 wins.

Just starting the video but my gut tells me we still haven’t quite shaken our mental hurdles of losing close games and we will lose one game we shouldn’t. That being said, this team has the talent to beat everyone on their schedule outside of Ohio st. 10-2 would be awesome. 9-3 is more likely. But I’ll be praying for playoffs all year. GBR

Thanks for the Rutgers respect Conner...finally, it feels great not to be the conference punching bag. Coach Schiano is building our program the right way and it will be built to last.This year can be our 11-2 2006 year, all the pieces are in place and I feel the time is right for Rutgers to be the talk of the nation again. If Kaliakmanis can just give us a little more consistancy and accuracy that we lacked with Wimsatt,the skies the limit to hiw far this team can go.As you said, in a perfect world, we're capable of beating any team on our schedule this year but realistically I'm looking for us to go somewhere between 8-10. I agree with you on the USC game being played at 11pm being a tough one, the only saving grace is, we're coming out of a bye and Schianos' a wizzard getting the team prepared with the extra week of preparation.That's also the case with the Virginia Tech game...we're going to need it in that tough environment.The game against Nebraska worries me...the 14-13 game in 22 was a real war and with Noah Vedral going down before the half and Evan Simon throwing those 3 interceptons in the 4th quarter making it too much for us to overcome. Michigan is going to have at least as hard a time scoring on Oregon as Oregon has scoring on Michigan. Running it 80% of the time ain't gonna cut it. The relatively thin spot on Oregon's D is at safety -- and I seriously question whether Michigan will have the QB play to attack that.

Everyone is underrating Indiana, they'll have a real QB with a top 3 receiving core in the conference with a DL full of transfers from the top rushing D in the G5.

Gophers at 5 wins is under what I would expect. I think now that Kaliakmanis is gone they are going to do much better.

Over 7.5 wins in the Vegas casinos is anywhere from +140 to +165 .Like last year casinos are putting a limit on how much you can bet on the under . Nebraska has gone under the win total 7 straight years and 8 out of the last 9 . The warhorse casino books in Lincoln and Omaha have the line at over -105 and under -118 .Which is a ripoff on a line . On VSIN this year in Vegas they said the casinos need people to bet the over .The money in the last 7 years has gone on the under 85% and over is 15% . I tried to put a bet in at Circa in Vegas on the under at $3,000 .Right now limiting $1,500 until they get more money on the over .

Ucla will very likely be 3-4 heading to Nebraska. 3-5 after. Then have iowa at home and then play at Washington followed by USC. If they manage 1-2 over those three, they’ll be 4-7, and finish 5-7 after Fresno. That seems perfect.

This season will be a big tell on where we go from here. How much is the culture worth? This staff is definitely developing players. The other thing to watch is how well the new teams do in the B1G. Northwestern will either win 3- or 8+ as we always go to extremes. I am okay with the number 5.5 as there is no evidence to suggest we will be better than that, however I would shocked if we finished 5-7 or 6-6.

1. Your Rutgers take is correct-they have a senior laden team, competent coaching, tons of returning production, and probably the easiest schedule in the BigTen. A CFP berth is not out of the question. 2. Your assessment of Michigan State is completely lacking in nuance. New coaching staff, yes, but Jonathan Smith brought over almost his entire staff intact-he isn’t assembling a mish-mash of assistants which will require a year or two to figure out their identity. Last year was a horrible season fueled by to the chaos surrounding Tucker, combined with very poor performance by his assistants (note how none have been hired by legit programs). There’s talent on the roster just waiting for competent coaching-the cupboard wasn’t entirely bare. “New” QB, yes, but the QB is the guy this staff recruited, who is in year 2 of the system, who played meaningful minutes last season, and was widely regarded as the #1 QB in the portal (high ceiling). Yes, they lost players in the portal, but only a few were meaningful losses, and they were top-15 in portal acquisitions. Last I heard, FanDuel had dropped MSU’s O/U to 4.5 (unless they just bumped it up to 5.5 yesterday?). 4.5 is crazy low, IMO, and 5.5 is also low. MSU wins 6 or 7 this year. I wouldn’t bet on 8 wins, but it’s not unrealistic.

Michigan has a loaded schedule. That said, I think they win 10, losing only to Texas in a close one, and Oregon by about 10. I think they beat Ohio State again.
