Cassandra -- My teen daughter has her father's oily, breakout prone skin. I didn't suffer with skin issues as a teen, except for the occasional zit. I didn't realize how skin problems can be so mentally exhausting. I feel it's my responsibility as a parent to protect her skin and her mental health. Thank you for your videos. I've learned so much about the best products to use for my daughter's skin type (I admit, I bought her Neutrogena and Clean & Clear because I didn't know any better! 😶) In just a few months, her skin is looking so much better and she has a better handle on her breakouts. Keep up your informative videos, you are precious! ❤

Try korean skincare products they work wayy better than usa brand, they are affordable as well here is the link www.yesstyle.com/en/korean-skin-care I would advise 0.025 % tretnoin cream that works on acne as well. Since i have oily and acne skin, struggled as a teen with acne all over my face and really made me go deep down in depression.

I’ve struggled with acne since I was 13 (21 now) and Neurotgena’s oil free moisturiser for sensitive skin is the ONLY moisturiser that works for me!! I did not have a skincare routine until last year, when I was already 25 yo and hadn't been for Cassandra,Hyram,Dr Shereene Idriss and a couple of Greek youtubers(I am from Greece) I would still have not given my skin the treatments, the care and the love it so deserves! We were poor. There was no washing our face twice a day, wearing sun screen, flossing, brushing teeth twice a day, and no 6 month going to the dentist for cleaning. I learned all this at the age of 20. My kids have learned all these things from me. As a result of bad dental hygiene, my cousin (who is 64) is missing her teeth. I have all, but 1 tooth missing at 59 years age. I wear a bridge. Skin and hygiene is a high priority in my life.

I can now say that I've been using a sunscreen daily for about 1 1/2- 2 years and the BIGGEST thing I had to learn was using a sunscreen without a moisturiser. ._. I do not have the patience or the brain power in the morning to wait for a moisturiser AND a sunscreen to sink in. As moisturiser is first I either chose not to apply the sunscreen because I was inpatient or because I simply forgot to do it. Now I have a sunscreen that is nourishing enough I'm protected from death- and wrinkle-rays ^-^.

I know you said this in the video but I was never taught to take care of my skin. My mom is a cyst-er, but she doesn't believe in skincare and so I had to learn skincare by myself through the internet. Definitely glad that I found you Cass or else I would have keep using isopropyl alcohol and st ives😭❤️

@@gfaruk272 she believes that skincare never works or is just ways for companies to get your money. she rolls her eyes when i get my products and says “you know its a scam”💀

I love these reaction videos. I just woke up and your energy makes me so happy, so thank you😇🥰 and btw the video to read the ingredientslist is not linked. And same with the water-based moisturizers. It would be nice if you would fix that❤️ And cassandra, could you react to the brand “dermasence”? I have acne and use them in my daily routine. It helps cure my acne but I’m not really sure how and if it really does.

Oh hey. I see that beautiful curl formation you got going on there. It looks so soft and like you’re this beautiful butterfly completing its metamorphosis. Also, personally: #teammineral... as I was typing this out, I looked up and I actually thought that ice thing was an ergonomically correct lint roller but I may just be a cat lady. 🥔🦋🖤💯

One thing which seems so simple but I just recently learnt to do is googling solutions to your problems. Idk, I feel like a lot of people like me were afraid to step out of the comfort zone and it’s that straightforward- name a problem and then find a solution. Maybe it’s because our parents weren’t used to technology and we often take after the mindset

My big thing was I didn't know how to cook! I could only make a few specific things, I never learned how to improvise with the food that I already had, so that's been a learning journey. Luckily my partner is a great cook and has taught me a lot!

The first time I got into a "proper routine" was in University- Thanks to skin care youtubers and now Derms on youtube for making such valuable knowledge accessible . Especially when money dont grow on trees lol When I was younger...the only resemblance to skincare I did was just clenser. yep. no sunscreen or moisturiser. but plenty of DIY shit and nose pore strips. Now in my 20's , late start but boy it helped me to take care of myself . Physically and emotionally. Even when depression makes me skip doing a night routine time to time- At least I'd bother to take any bit of makeup off Thanks for all you have done
