16:22 Beyoncé has 24 hours in a day, sure. Just like we all do. But I don’t think Beyoncé is spending any of those hours cooking, cleaning, doing laundry, getting the groceries, doing her own taxes… I think wealth still needs to be considered when talking about what people want to do and what they can and should do.
@ErZi-uo7fm
@ErZi-uo7fm 2 жыл бұрын
I think she meant "They also have 24 hours in a day and look how much they have achieved". At least having Steve Jobs in the list definitely implies that she wasn't talking about their skincare routines.
@keegee8703

@@ErZi-uo7fm yes it is easier to achieve more when you have more resources. When you have more time available because you are not spending hours and hours on general life maintenance. I would much rather spend an hour painting than an hour scrubbing the bathroom. But I don’t have the money to hire a maid so I can’t. I’m sure my partner would rather spend an hour reading and researching than cutting the grass and picking up the groceries. But we can’t hire a gardener or an assistant so he can’t. I’m not a fan of saying “person A did this so if you can’t you’re just lazy. After all we all have the same time in the day” But yeah, I don’t think Steve Jobs was especially known for skin care ha

I agree, there's a real fallacy in thinking Beyonce has it the same as a woman working average full time job, also taking care of her home, kids, cleaning, errands etc without an army of staff. Beyonce is 0.000001%, she has virtually unlimited resources and an average person does not. I'm not even going to go into Steve Jobs' lifestyle, rip.

To add to the issues with DNA tests in skincare, there are zero existing regulations around who owns your genetic information. If you voluntarily send your genetic material to a company, they (and whoever may be connected to them) have full autonomy to do whatever they want with that info, including fabricating organic materials or distributing that information to insurance companies.

Yeah. When there was a trend with checking dna heritage I wanted that so bad too but as You mentioned here such data in bad hands can create lots of problems ;/

@@Coffeegirl739 My personal favorite example of those 23andMe tests being used for external uses: the FBI has used those genetic data banks to identify sex offenders and traffickers who were never in a criminal database. If Cousin Jim did some bad stuff 15 years ago and never got caught, his sibling's Ancestry test will flag as a familial match and Jim will get caught. Those tests cost a lot more to run than the $300 you might spend on them. Quick edit: I'm not implying that this is a bad thing. I'm thrilled that some people can find justice when the justice system otherwise failed them, especially given that FBI cases often involve children. It's just important to recognize that you have zero legal ownership to your genetic info.

Hey guys, I wanted to tell you my experience dealing with oily skin. I began noticing that my skin got really dehydrated during the winter, despite the fact that during the summer I'm much oilier thanks to the humidity of Buenos Aires 😣 What really helped me was to introduce a thicker moisturizer in my night routine (in my case with urea), not fancy serums or essences... Just went to bed really hidrated and moisturized, and that is what I'm doing now even in summer and it really help dealing with break outs too!! 🙌🏼

CBD is a natural mast cell stabilizer with antihistamine properties. So it would logically, even scientifically, be founded to have basis in such redness reduction, since mast cells and it's triggered agent of histamine are the most common causes of redness and dermatographia, as well as eczema and other atopic dermatitis-type conditions allergic reaction in nature. Mast cell activation is also the mechanism for inflammatory response systemically.

I had a baby 11 years ago. From day one he had acne all over his face. Nobody knew what it was. I took him to specialized physicians from dermatologists to allergy doctors to endocrinologists but no one would give me a solution. No one knew. I did. I had a feeling that It was the milk. The only thing that started from day one Not the clothes or washing detergents or whatever. The milk (i was unfortunately not breast feeding at the time, so the pharma powder baby milk) . And finally when I sent his file to the board of dermatologists in a different country, the unanimous decision was that it was acne with unknown causes. At 6 years old they wanted to treat him the way they would a teenager. I refused. Instead I cut off all animal dairy products and guess what?! No more acne!!! He still breaks out everytime he has a lot of dairy. I decided to follow the same regimen as I had adult acne at 30. Guess what?! I dont have it anymore :) it was not the lactose as some suspected, it is the growth hormones in the dairy....just wanted to share bcz I genuinely believe that in this case correlation is causation in acne prone people. Thank you again for all the wonderful info you share with us 💕💕

When I was first diagnosed with dairy intolerance, I started to break out like crazy. I researched and it turns out that not being able to digest dairy properly can produce a reaction in which you start to break out due to the stress you put your body through. Also, alcohol can produce "breakouts" in rosacea-prone skin types. Those could be the reasons why. I also have oily skin and the above previously said, so that could be something she is going through. Some studies also say that dairy intolerance can appear occasionally, it is not something that you are always going to have, it can be something that appears and disappears with stress or difficult situations in your life, and that is what makes it so difficult to detect.

The best acne treatment would be hormone therapy in my opinion with say birth control, IUD's that stop periods, Spironolactone, etc I still have small amounts of acne once in awhile because of products I use/used, but otherwise it's pretty much gone now, I've had to change my entire skincare routine and I still don't know how to treat dry, acne prone skin 😅

Tbh I think serums should be preserved in a way that you can drag the dropper across your face, just bc there will always be people who didn't get the memo and do it.

If you are sensitive to Histamin wine, cheese, tomatoes, pickles and other foods high in histamine levels your intestines and even your skin can be effected down the line in different ways.

Not a hater but I think her skin care was really good. The moisturizer or the syrum has oils so her skin doesn't create more cz it's detecting dry skin. The clay mask recommendation is what I don't like. I love all your videos but you're taking scrutinizing to the next level. Your oil control was good but the only one I would recommend was the Niaciamide. She doesn't need sunscreen in the night but Murad recommendation was good if it was day (but the tital says "night"). I think you should tone down on your scrutinizing. I love you and I am still a Cyster. I am a part of the skintellectual family and a happy member. 😊

But wouldnt this oily day moisturizer breakdown your sunscreen since there are so many oils? Oh so maybe she doesn't USE sunscreen so she is not worried about breaking down her sunscreen.

a hugeeee part of clearing my skin was seeing a nautropathic doctor for a little bit. she was able to administer a 300 food intolerance test and each visit was 150 dollars. and i was instructed to do certain blood work at a regular doctors office and she recommend certain dietary changes and supplements. and yes. food causes acne. if I eat eggs, ever, it causes me cysts. It's terrible. I didn't know for the longest time that that was the culprit. So it's weird to constantly be told that food doesn't cause acne... Inflammation can happen anywhere in the body and diet plays a large role in this. so why don't we think it can cause inflammatory acne? After a few visits, I could see that my skin was changing for the better and I could stop going (about 6 months), and i've stuck to most of the plans, since then. The reality is, I could only do any of this after college once i got a good job. i battle acne with neutrogena grapefruit and a crumb of hope for over a full decade before that. and it STILL took me a lot of trial and error to select products, and discover my back acne was not back acne at all but "fungal acne" even after watching a billion videos about it. LOL.

I always enjoy watching you and you are incredibly informative, Cassandra, but calling people with HSV "dirty" is neither factual nor helpful when it is already another stigma-laden skin condition.

I agree that was a tough comment/joke but I try to remember that she's HUMAN and as humans we say things that aren't great. I worry we try to hold these "influencers" to a higher standard than we would to anyone else.

I dont think she meant that people with HSV are dirty. I think she meant we have dirty habbits, which can cause us to spread bacteria and diseases. I get cold sores too btw and ive never really had problems with the stigma? I think most of the population actually has HSV1.
