Things wrong with this "maze" #1 had its foot caught many times also the swinging pointy ball couldn't have done any harm but the poor hamster was twitching. #2 the fish was in a 1table spoon cup for who know how long. #3 there were a bunch of crabs out of water and one of them was not moving so I'll guess it was dead.

It's disgusting how they abuse animals. I have two guinea pigs and a dog myself and if I did something wrong and or abused them I would never forgive myself. I feel all animals should be treated equally if they live in the ocean etc. I do not care if you have an excuse to be doing these sorts of things I still think you should go to prison it is horrible to treat animals different and anyways we are the late comers they were here first.

@Herrick Family im not talking about the hamsters. there were literal live crabs in the video that were put in the same space as the hamster. the live crabs literally chased the poor hamster.

Well I wouldn’t say it’s clearly stressed bc it’s really hard to tell when a hamster is stressed but I think it’s safe to assume that for the hamster the maze was like 10% fun and 90% stress

@quack right? Even if temporary that's just... no. No way. But seeing the video they probably actually keep them like that. For hamster care, thanks to youtubers like Victoria it seems like people in general know about proper hamster care (I always see people complain in video comments if something seems dangerous, cage is too small etc) so that's great. But not that many people seem to jump at mistreating fish... for fish it seems like the misinformation was more widespread and only a few realize how complicated properly taking care of a fish is

This was so sad 😭 I watch this channel that does really low drops for the hamster. Its so low that the hamster drops it’s back legs in the hole and only half the body is covered ups and the best thing is they show how they build it and there is an artsy part of it and basic mechanics using gears and the moving portions or hand cranked so that you don’t hurt the animal. I was gonna look for that when I came across a channel that also did hamster mazes. It wasn’t as bad the ones in the video and didn’t include as many moving things but there were ax shaped bars that were moving so fact and the hamsters eyes were UNCOMFORTABLY close. That’s when I searched up if this was ok. So glad I came across the video to find im not the only one who hates this. Imma go back to my wholesome videos where they treat the hamster good.

My young son just requested a maze, I made one with cardboard, very minimal but I don't feel right about it. Plus she just climbed over all the walls. I'm glad I found this channel

While berating others for “having no argument” Spoiler alert, it doesn’t make you right. So hows about I give you some education. However, I first want to acknowledge your argument, because I’d be little better than you if I didn’t. Yes it’s obvious that the owner controlled all of the robots, and spinning machines, and even the platforms. Given the lack of a railing system, it seems their devices were controlled with magnets and remote controls, while others were controlled completely by hand like the black and white gears. However, that doesn’t mean this isn’t dangerous. I’ll start by quoting petMD: “ Fractures, more commonly known as broken bones, are actually quite common in hamsters. They mainly occur due to accidents such as improper handling of the animal or when a hamster tries to dislodge its leg from the cage's wire mesh or exercise wheel.” Every time that hamster got its leg stuck, it was at risk of fracturing it. Every time the hamster slipped or fell it risked fracturing it. Hamsters are insanely fragile creatures, who can barely handle the forces they put on their own bodies if they get stuck. To put this into perspective, if you were proportionally as fragile as a hamster , You could shatter your wrist trying to pull a 20 pound object out of a hole it’s lodged in. Hamsters are note mechanically built to lift and stretch like that. Their bodies aren’t meant to handle torque like that, they’re meant to burrow in soft dirt. Now another thing I’d like to point out. Those crabs were most certainly real. They moved organically, they moved at the same time as the hamster, and short of some editing magic, they were most certainly alive. They looked a bit like common European Shore Crabs. If the hamster were pinched by this, it could be killed or lose a limb. Crabs can hurt us for christ sake, imagine what they’d do to a hamster! Now lets assume you’re right and say the crabs were animated and “carton” how in the hell is the hamster supposed to know they aren’t real or alive? Like heres the thing, even if we assume the hamster wasn’t in any physical danger at all because the course was staged, the hamster still doesn’t know whats going on. The cardboard fish things, and the cardboard snake may as well have been genuine threats. We are talking about a small rodent that is about as smart as a baby at best, faced with a big moving object moving towards it with teeth gnashing at it. That hamster was stressed. Like very terribly stressed, probably scared for it’s life. Because it can’t know whats going on, and its surrounded by moving objects and pointy things. The kind of stress that hamster probably felt would be comparable to you or I dropping into silent hill. Also if things like the fish were RV controlled that would mean things like the sounds of motors would be present which could stress a hamster. So it’d be more like if I dropped you into Silent hill and giant green hard shelled crabs were laying around snapping at you while you were also being chased by killer robots, as the sound of a fire alarm was constantly whirring in the background. So regardless of whether or not the hamster was actually in danger (which it very probably was) it definitely felt like it was in danger. So no matter how you cut this, this doesn’t look good for DIY Hamster Maze. Its blatant psychological animal abuse at best, and physical abuse at worst, editing tricks not considered. Also I think the word you are trying to say is “cartoon” unless the place is built out of some material called carton, or that’s the name of some kind of editing technique. Also I’m not entirely certain the fish were real, but the hamster and the course it was in most certainly were. No matter what you say, this man stressed the hell out of his hamster, and that’s not okay. To prove me wrong, you’d have to prove that either the hamster or course didn’t actually exist. End of story.

Imagine if you were in something like that though, I would be so stressed out and scared. And if you don't even know what's going on I would be so scared. Also that part where they fill up the small space with Styrofoam while the hamster is still in there! Then they proceed to put more balls in, pushing the hamster out. Even just the poor hamster at the end when he/she tries to climb up the ramp. It was so sad and stressful!

and also, it’s really obvious that the hamster is not liking this, especially at 4:17, you could see the hamster was pushed down a lot faster than it was going, also completely ignoring that is quite a small tube for your hamster size (imo, sorry if it’s the right size) and it’s going a lot slower than usual so to be pushed down that could cause some injuries possibly, along with all the other things that are really dangerous for hamsters, also the WATER CONTRAPTION at 6:40!

I think those fish were going through worse - those were a species of tropical freshwater fish known as Mollies. That "tank" was so small that they could hardly move, and in addition to that, there was no heater in sight, which meant that they were probably freezing to death. If this person doesn't even know to enough about fish to give them a heater, then the water was probably untreated too, which means they would also be dying due to having to live in tap water which is full of chemicals which can damage their insides. Also the fish in the robot was experiencing so much stress from the shaking and confined space, it has probably died from stress by now. Oh ma gawd

All these videos show is just how heartless you are for a little bit of money. Animals need more love, it was be even sadder if these hamsters were from a rescue centre considering most animals from a rescue centre have been neglected and saved.

Before my dwarfs hammy die my dad kicked my hamster ball when I was cleaning her cage he just said « don’t worry it not fragile it like a tiny cat »and he also spinned my hamster wheel so hard when she was in it now my hamster died 3 day ago and I just got a new one and I’m gonna get an another one tomorrow they are Syrian boy and I just really hope my dad isn’t going to do this anymore I don’t want I’m to see my baby hamster again 💔😔

The hamster was really stressed and could of been seriously injured, the crabs couldn’t breath and who knows how long they’ve been out for. And the betta fish were in a tiny tank and the gold fish was being thrown around. All of it is just awful

Thankfully I didn't like the ones with the crabs or the hamsters getting hurt, but I did like the ones with the styrofoam balls and the trap things that I didn't know were stressful to the hamster. Then I got a hamster (poor thing had to live in a tiny cage for more than a month, so glad that I got it from a rescue not a pet store), and started watching her videos and realized "Oh my gosh, these people are abusing their hamsters this should not be allowed". Now, thanks to Victoria, my hamster is having a good life in a bin cage eating sunflower seeds in his deep burrow. She definitely should be called the Hamster Queen!
