To anyone who comes across this video who is a fan of Slick Slime Sam. This is *not* a hate video, I do not hate their channel. I think their Craft, DIY and Science videos are wonderful for kids to watch and try. I'm disappointed by the channel because of their lack of misinformation they're spreading to millions, animals require special care which Slick Slime Sam could very well help educate millions on the proper care but they've done the opposite unfortunately and that needs to be talked about.

That “rat” cage isn’t even made for rats the ramp ladder thing is way to small it can’t even fit and the hide away is as small as it’s body

The fact that they treated the hamsters and the rat like toys or something, but the person treated a glob of pink slime like another human being..

It’s insanely sad that videos like the one by Slick Slime Sam get millions of views while educational videos that promote proper care don’t get nearly as many. This channel is underrated.

The whole reason I'm here right now is because I've been researching how to properly care for hamsters. I'm so glad I found your channel before committing to our first hamster. If my daughter is going to get a hamster for her birthday she is going to learn the proper way to care for one! Thanks so much for all your informative videos!

I’m just looking at the recent comments, and I am shocked. People can have their opinions, but Victoria Raechel does not make videos for views, she does it because she cares about hamster well being. She even explained that this wasn’t a hate video, and people are still coming after her.

When I bought my hamsters I was 9 and I kinda regret buying them don’t get me wrong i love them sooo much but I feel like they could have a better life but I have learnt from my mistakes and I still have them but in proper care while spending every penny on them 🥺✨

I know this is a bit late, but I think there's no saving grace for that channel, it's owned by the same company or publisher, that also did 5-Minutes Craft, so poor Hamsters and Rats. They wouldn't really care either way, regardless of whoever spoke up, unless it's the authority.

When we first got our super cute angora hamster, Pet Smart recommended we get a little cage with a lot of tubes. We didn't know any better until we found your channel. Poor Hammie was always squished in the tunnel and bitting the bars of the cage. She got scabs around her mouth. We quickly got rid of that cage and bought her a big spacious one with only 2 levels which she loves. She is really relaxed, happy and healthy. We (me, little Hammie and the 3 kids) cannot thank you enough for your educational videos.

I found my daughter watching this channel and questioned it, having a hamster and thanks to you knowing how to care for her properly. My daughter enjoys the show while for me it kinda of hurt seeing a rat in a cage the size of it body. It just shows the importance of managing what your children watch

Some species of hamsters can be very territorial. So I get how it would be “cute” and “fun” to have multiple hamsters in a cage...just do your research before you do this-

Now this is just making me upset look, I'm ten and when i was seven my parents told me i could have a hamster when I'm ten, i was currently watching little kid channels that were cruel to hamsters and other small animals so i started my research right on the spot now my hamster cooper is very happy and all my research payed off but it upsets me how parents tell little kids they they're not gonna do anything for the hamster and they'd have to do it themselves.Most would start counting down the days till they get one without research but a few would look at any video with the title hamster in it and believe what ever it says so this stupid slick slime thing could have a big impact on a poor little hamsters life.And that rat cage shocked me. this might be the longest comment here lol!

My parents got me a hamster when i was nine... i had no clue what i was doing. Two years later i got another, had a bit of a clue but wasnt allowed to change things. Im now 14, my hamster artemis is living in the largest ikea pax with a more natural set up and lots of deep bedding and what i believe is a good diet. Im really sad i didnt have that information before but im glad that artemis can have a good life!

I’ve been a hamster owner for several years now and I’m new time rat owner and this video is absolutely devastating. I’ve done plenty of research before getting my rats and they are in great living conditions. I can’t believe they were keeping Tater tot by his or her self. AND THAT CAGE IS SO TINY.
