Babymetal Sakura Gakuin Animal Rhythm and Takaramono first time reaction! Today I'm reacting to more Sakura Gakuin and their Animal Rhythm MV! Everything this group does makes me happy, and this is no different! So fun, so upbeat, and off the charts adorable! Yui and Moa kill it as expected, and once again I end a Sakura Gakuin experience with a huge grin on my face!! 😁❤

About the drawing thing, they did a spot on a Chinese show where they had to draw a few things and Yui and Moa actually did pretty well, Su also draws and she did her best. It is adorable.

This is Moa and Yui's senior year so they get the lead parts in their videos, this is how SG traditionally does it, It was also the year BM really took off so they missed a lot of SG stuff but still were able to make it for the big events. In interviews for SG they call them extra curricula activities and don't mention BM. Also in this class Yui and Moa are the only original members left, so there are some new faces in there.

Having an SG bias is a good loophole. But for it to be fair, you should give a fair hearing to all the members, including those that came after Yui and Moa graduated. There’s a lot of joy to be found if you properly delve into SG. You might find it tricky to choose just one bias, you might need to find space for 36 new pictures...

That would be Nene and Saki if you want to use given names. And BTW, Saki is spelling her family name as Ohga these days. Check out the channel "Moka & Saki" to hear Saki's current voice.

Obiviously Moa would be the one with the penguin drawing XD. And yes, you got the names right, on the Takaramono video the girl in front of Moa is Yunano and the one in front of Yui is Hana. Hana is also with Yui and Moa at the mini patty unit, just look for the girl with "magical hair" and you will find her,.With that hair she reminds me a bit of Kahiyuka from Perfume. And Yui looks so happy on this video.

That is so true what you said ! I can get in a pissy mood when gaming but sometimes I just play rocket league and I put on a SG playlist and I'm just happy. It's all just happy thoughts and positivity. Not to mention some of their songs are really amazing. I don't like them all ofcourse but I find myself liking way more than I first thought I would :).

🌸 🏫 This has the same ten members as the 'Heart no Hoshi' music video. From both sides of the magic door. : ) This song was also on the 'Sakura Gakuin 2014 Nendo: Kimi ni Todoke (Reaching You)' album. The remaining music video from that year is 'Aogeba Tōtoshi'. Definitely worth seeing. 'Takaramono' ("Treasure") was the senior song for Moa, Yui, Yunano and Hana, who all graduated in March 2015. Yunano was on our far left, Hana on our far right. Every year the seniors have a special song, which is included on that year's album. Unfortunately they are usually only performed once, which is a shame, as they tend to be really good.

Yes, I do expect this to be their graduation year. Moa was the class president and Yui was the produce chairman, a position only she held. And yes, she is Yunano

Dead Spot On Mate! I'm sure Japan is the rule rather than the exception when it comes to Art instruction. I've seen Moa's//Yui's artwork, and seeing them [on video] doing traditional japanese brush [very difficult] writing before a live audience. Both of them draw and write skillfully and exceptionally well imo. In addition all Sakura Gakuin members are taught the Ninja arts and how to walk soundlessly on all surfaces! The Panda literally ate the Art Teacher's lunch. ;-)) Cheers!

For your second video this was taken from the graduation ceremony in which these four girls graduated. Yes Yui certainly did shine in SG she is the queen of kawaii, Moa shines when it comes to interacting with people, both on a stage and also in interviews as well as just in general, she has a natural charisma that makes people gravitate to her. It all works well in combination with BM as along with Su's professionalism they all bring something unique, which I think is why most fans put them all on an equal standing in BM.

Even by Sakura Gakuin standards, the _Animal Rhythm_ video is exceptionally cute and charming. :) 3:56 This is a silly joke. Saki Shirai is saying that emperor penguins are _ikumen_ (very attentive fathers), and Yunano Notsu mistakes the word for _ikemen_ (very attractive dudes). Then Hana Taguchi (a member of MiniPati with Yui and Moa) does the shrug gesture. 6:09 Aiko Yamaide and Hana are talking about cheetahs being very fast.

Nice that's awesome. I've watched both videos. Animal Rhythm is one of my favs from Sakura Gakuin. Have you seen Hana*Hana MV by them?

You can guess the year by the uniforms, at least with this one. The brown blazer was only used from 2013 to 2016. All the other years are dark blue/navy/black. This video from Moa, Yui, Hana and Yunano's 2014 nendo was part of their "learning songs". Another one of these would be Wonderful Journey from Su's grad year 2012 or Planet Episode 008 from 2011 for example. 2014 was also the only year, besides the very first one 2010, with only 10 members. Usually there's 12 girls every year in SG. This year, 2020, which will be the last, there are only 8 because there weren't any transfer students and 4 graduated (Kano, the (former) BM Avenger, amongst others). Now, let's play our favorite Sakura Gakuin game, which will be quick this time😉: Who's that girl #1 (4:02 and writing the names in Japanese style with given name last): Shirai Saki, graduated one year after Moa & Yui in 2015. She's a tourist ambassador for her home prefecture Niigata now. Who's that girl #2 (you kinda remembered): Notsu Yunano, or Honjyou Yunano now, graduated 2014 with Moa & Yui. Not in entertainment anymore. Who's that girl #3 (from your GDrive): Taguchi Hana, the one on the right side. She joined an idol formation called Torahime (lit. Tiger Princess) after graduation and then went on hiatus, I think to concentrate on studies, for a few years. Right now she's in a musical/play and I think she also wants or at least wanted back into the idol industry, but I'm not sure. I don't think the drawings in the video were theirs. Sakura Gakuin had a few girls over the years with a talent to not have talent for drawing and painting. Ooga Saki, the one at 6:07 with Yui, was one of those girls for example. Her drawings were always hilarious on their weekly program in 2015.

Any song that includes the word "capybara" gets a big thumbs up from me and on Takaramono Nendo 2014 Yui is just too kawaii. It's also interesting to note that of the four girls singing only Moa is currently active in the entertainment industry at the same level. Honjyo tried to get an acting and modeling career going but retired in 2017, Hana was in a couple of idol groups post SG, but Amuse eventually shut them down and ended her contract and now she's doing smaller projects...and there's Yui, still under contract to Amuse, but on a very long hiatus.

Apart from the grossly insensitive bit of cultural appropriation by Mori-sensei at the beginning, this is one of my favorite SG videos. The song is catchy and the video is cute and imaginative. As for the drawing (and all those diary entries) they are all part of the SG product and I assume Amuse has designers working on them.

@@Grington300 Yes, he's way younger than Mori. He doesn't get much air time and I just assumed it was Mori, I'm so use to him being at the head of the class. The whole head-dress thing still applies though, but the Japanese do that sort of stuff all the time without thinking.

@@cuttysark8017 To be fair it happens a lot to them as well, but its all in the context, if it is meant to be offensive then it is, here it is clearly done as this is to do with nature and the Native Americans are known for their closeness with nature so it meant as a compliment and there is nothing wrong with that.

@@chrisharris1522 I agree that it's innocent and happens all the time, but it made me a bit uncomfortable. Japan is still very unaware of the potential for these issues because it does not have a very diverse population.
