that's cool hearing abt your background and your struggles with depression. i know you've mentioned being introverted before too, which is maybe hard to reconcile with how extroverted being a youtuber seems to be. i think this manifests in you having more of a "camera personality" than your true personality with your loved ones etc, whereas some other more extroverted youtubers like corrigan etc seem to be just naturally themselves at all times. i'm real introverted so can appreciate that a lot. anyways you're a sick skater and appreciate your more thoughtful takes.

Sometimes, some folks aren't self centered enough. They take on the world woes without addressing their own failings or look to improve their own situation. That's my take on that.

On the positive/high energy front, a lot of people don't understand how a regular energy/volume person comes off on video. Being high energy on camera comes off normal while a normal every day level of energy comes off as being uninterested or depressed. You definitely have to be "on" when doing a video. It takes work and practice for it to seem normal. I think you're videos are great and really like what you put out.

Skate culture is made by the people doing it, and you've had a positive impact in the culture without a doubt. I'd also wager that your demeanor and willingness to be wrong at times has a positive impact to people in general, skating or not. The way you're forced to interact with your audience through the internet has a tendency to lean negative (even neutral tone comments often come off as negative a lot of the time), so navigating that without completely turning into a complete Grinch deserves respect. Hey homie, you make some good points. I'm sure getting feedback from the internet must be very difficult. As we age our ego slowly dies (if we're healthy). That process can be hard, especially if they have a big ego. It seems like you made this video to deflect criticism instead of learn & grow from it. I like the slivers of genuine vulnerability you showed. I wanna be real with you -- It's obvious when you're making excuses to preserve your ego. Some of your attempts to dismiss criticism is a reach. For example, "a punchable face" is more behavior related based on your facial expressions & demeanour (not a physical criticism). Ben Shapiro has a punchable face but not purely bc of his ego. Everyone goes through the process of growth & it's hard so don't beat yourself up. An immature ego prevents you from growing up as a person. Ppl with immature egos get humored by mature adults but they see right through them. Don't let your ego win.
