What's NEW in the DIABETES TECH WORLD TODAY?!
Beta bionics.. bionic pancreas?!?! O:
Woah! Exciting! FUTURE!
Or.. uh.. is it exciting? Do we actually have a "bionic pancreas" coming out on the shelves or is it just some gimmick? Here, I give my analysis.

I've been binging your channel and wanted to say thank you for being so helpful. My son went into DKA and was diagnosed T1 in early January and I'm trying to learn as fast as I can. I already followed Dr Ken Berry and Dr Shawn Baker so fortunately I found Dr Bernstein quickly. You offer a lot of practical info for someone new to this world. Thank you!

I would never trust it, insulins and CGM sensors simply not fast enough to make a reactive system, so it always has to guess if it wants to keep you in range...

He is acting like this is unlike any other pump. What the heck? The t slim is wayyy more advanced than this junk. Heck no. And the dude isn't even wearing it! 😂 I would freak out if my numbers lived above 150

Is the T-slim pump what you are using currently? With a Dexcom? I'm on the Medtronic system. I was diagnosed with type TWO in 1998 but my Endocrinologist changed my diagnosis to type one several years ago. I might really be what some call a type 1.5 because my c-peptide was .5 twice. That means my body was still making insulin but not enough for good blood sugar control on pills only.

@@jackschitt6235 yes. Well, when I'm on the pump. I switch from MDI to pump often. I love both. I was diagnosed in 1998, type 1 at 11 years old. Medtronic was my first pump and I have 3 different Medtronic pumps, and to be honest, I will never use them again. Have also tried Omnipod. Love the t-slim and G6 and how they work together!

@@jackschitt6235 you can better manage it and potentially reverse it to an extent using a carnivore diet.

Some of us do freak out because we cannot control our diabetes. No matter what we do. So please try and understand that some of us actually do have those high blood sugars
