Amir! You're so sweet and funny. You actually say what I'm thinking 🤔 99.9% of the time. I feel the same way you do. I respect people for whatever they want to do and who they want to do it to. But I DON'T like it, when a lot of the alphabet (LGBTQRSTUV-Z) community, want to SHOVE their ridiculous rhetoric, like "I think or feel like a woman/man, therefore, I am and expect you to approach me as such" 🤔 I do feel bad for some of them. Like Amir said, "they' are getting emotionally sick over this. To the point, where, people who get so worked up over being mis gendered are having an emotional crisis breakdown. I pray 🙏 that they find peace within themselves and figure out who they are and get help, so that they don't let people get them all riled up and learn to love themselves, no matter what anyone says. 😔

Ur absolutely right. Being born or living in America u won the universe lottery worth more then any money. We complain about the 1% while to the rest of the world the poor here are the 1%. We skip all the things billions don’t have before complaining electricity, clean water, medicine, a home that doesn’t need to be rebuilt with mud every time it rains, shoes, clothes, having 10 kids because 7 die from diarrhea, warlords killing the men and stealing their babies, mass rape, slavery, no education or even paperwork that proves who u r and where ur from so u can work for pennies a day one day etc etc etc. Complaining in an air conditioned home on $1000 dollar phone editing on a $2000 computer about. $100k surgery cause u have so little to worry about in the universe that u can only come up with if others call u sir or miss while ur out shopping and eating at nice places with ur friends cause u want to sit and pee in a bathroom but the stalls in the men’s bathroom aren’t the same as the woman’s one. It’s crazy how being this God less just proves all that ur left to worship is urself and thinking u can be a God and decide things for urself that only a greater being can choose for u

This is imo the reason why trans activists and feminists are always fighting. Feminists want things like gender roles and gendered clothes to become a thing of the past, but trans people kinda need those very same gender-based markers of identity to exist to center their own identity around. It's a fundamental conflict of interest. It's no wonder the term TERF (trans-exclusionary radical feminist) was coined by these people, though it's used mainly to refer to women that want to protect their female identity from being co-opted and warped into something unrecognizable by the crazies.

I was literally thinking that when that grown woman was crying that someone *accidentally* called her the “wrong” term. Imagine telling that to someone born in the early 20th century. They spent their childhood working for slave wages trying not to starve during the Great Depression. Once they turned 18, they were sent to Europe to watch their friends get mutilated in the worst war ever. Even as they won the war, they had to witness the half dead skeletons as they freed up the nazi camps. Just as they got home and started a family, they were sent into Korea to fight another war. Once they were finally home for good, the realization set in that we were in a Cold War with the Soviet Union, and oh by they way, they have nukes now. And if it ever turns hot, this war will end with the US being flattened into an irradiated wasteland. Even if we win. And this grown woman is taking time out of her day to record herself crying, because a complete stranger said something she chose to be offended by. We are in such good times that we go out of our way to make ourselves feel bad. We are truly a decadent society lol

I got misgendered once by a sweet old man at a park. I am a cis female, I was wearing a british school uniform consisting of trousers and a jumper, and had a pixie cut. I just smiled and brushed it off - it's not that hard man, especially if it's a simple mistake.

It's not hard, really. My boyfriend gets misgendered 24/7, but he just shrugs it off. My best friend does the same thing. They get called she/her, and just thinks nothing about it. They only get frustrated when their FRIENDS misgender them. Since we're friends, we know our pronouns, so why would I misgender them? I'm lbgt, and I'll admit, these trans meltdowns are getting out of hand.

i promise you, you would care if you were trans. when you have to prove who you are all the time, and having that questioned every single day, being misgenered hurts way more. it’s not weak to ask to use the corrects pronouns, it’s courage. when you’re cis you just take your gender identity for granted, you were born with it and you’re comfortable in it, and it takes a second for somebody who misgenders you to see that they’re wrong. can’t you see how different that is?

Well, I sense some kind of a pain in the heart too when people call me ma’am, and the level fluctuates. It doesn’t feel severe like a true stab, but something is sensed there. So I relate with that, but the treatment to all the restaurant staff is unfair. Radical activists keep saying that trans people are just trying to live their lives, which yeah that applies to some but not most, and what they fail to realize is that most other people in society are also trying to live their lives and don’t want the additional hassle of someone harassing them because of pronouns.

My issue with the whole mis-gendering thing, is that the whole common denominator with trans and non-binary is they "feel" different inside. Unfortunately aside from facial expressions, we don't have a way for our bodies to externally show our internal _feelings_ - there's ways around that, like dressing super-feminine with skirts and dresses if you feel feminine inside, or suits and trousers and short hair cuts if you feel masculine inside. And if you make it _really_ obvious those ways, then fair enough. But outside of going to those extremes, the more subtle things just don't work. Hair colour means absolutely nothing. Makeup doesn't even help quite as much any more as plenty of men wear makeup. Even hair length and style means nothing these days, as men often have long hair and women short hair. _NOTHING_ says "non-binary" externally. Literally nothing. Nothing says _any_ of the other genders outside of "male" and "female" - and external looks, facial features, sound of voice _is all we have_ to identify someone. So of _course_ you're going to get mis-gendered! To get offended is on you, not on the person mis-gendering you. You're the one who went into this whole thing without the understanding that you _will_ be mis-gendered, without understanding fully how our brains operate and _how_ humans identify each other and accepting these biological facts, without accepting or understanding that there's not much you can do to avoid it except being up-front and saying from the start what gender you identify as. There's no point getting mad now for something you should have done better research of from the start. It's like these idiots that go to a foreign country without doing any research prior, act the way they want and then being surprised and offended when they get arrested cos they broke one or more of the local laws.

This is one of my favorite comments. A black man encounters one (two, three?) LGBTQ human beings and proceeds to write off an entire demographic. You sound like you are torn over whether they are human beings at all since "people" is in quotes. On the other hand, racism sucks. By the way, my mom was mugged at gunpoint by a black guy. She got PTSD out of the experience, quit a good job and sold her beloved condo at a loss (it was one of those gentrified neighborhoods in DC that was basically next door to a slum). You on the other hand had a conversation that wasn't to your liking. Shit is indeed crazy.

@@krisaaron8180 I will write off any group of individuals I want to, which includes your hypocritical gay folks. There's a lot of good people within the LGBT community and I wasn't trying to include all of them, but I didn't think I needed to specify for the sake of brevity. As for your mother, I don't know what you're trying to get at with telling that story since, while unfortunate, is entirely irrelevant. I grew up in a mostly white, middle-class city. You won't catch me in the hood whatsoever, so whatever comparisons you make about black folks, the hood, and crime automatically don't mean anything to me, but nice try? In short, I'm not torn about anything. You're automatically beneath me and any other rational human being if your goal is to tear down other groups for the sake of propping your own up, then saying I or others "don't understand" when struggle is damn near universal. If that is a concept you cannot understand, you have my limited sympathy.

I used to get called a boy all the time before I really hit puberty and my chest came through. As a teenager I had really short hair and as such I was often called a boy, I handled it better than these grown ass adults. I would just simply say "Oh, actually I'm a girl," and just move on with my day :/

NOT defending their actions AT ALL, but gender dysphoria makes it difficult to get on with your day. It’s like going to the pool and someone points out your extra toe (one of your greatest hypothetical insecurities) and says “oh i didn’t know you had an extra toe! That’s so odd!” it would make you embarrassed, insecure, anxious, isolated or emotional distressed. it almost would provide a fight/flight response due to that distress. NO it is NEVER okay to do what they have done. NO it is NEVER okay to assault people or call them transphobic over a simple mess up. but if someone is being INTENTIONAL, it can feel REALLY upsetting and scary for a transgender person. (as a trans boy i have MUCH more emotional maturity and resilience than they do, but sometimes it’s really tough. like- considering not even leaving the my room, not showering, shattering my mirrors and never having any human contact tough). Again this isn’t is any way shape or form defending the actions of these people. it’s just to shed light on ACTUAL transsexual/transgender individuals who REALLY struggle in their gender dysphoria. (we don’t seek validation, we just seek to be seen…it’s not a battle of self-worth, more a battle for people to see us the way we want to be seen).

I'm just the inverse, I'm a guy who has a lot of feminine physical characteristics and long hair, and I take it just like that. I get asked "Ma'am?" for assistance, and my deep voice and more masculine face shows through when I turn towards them. Only saving grace for me is really that I'm choosing to pack on muscle, but it only bothers me because I haven't done anything to help with that distinction. Otherwise, if I liked how I looked and didn't really wanna change, I'd accept it. I don't get these people who get all angry and aggressive when this happens. You cannot fool human pattern recognition when it comes to other people. It just doesn't work that way.

I went through a tomboy phase when I was 13-14 where my hair was short, I was wearing boy clothes, and I just don’t have a very feminine face anyways, so I looked a lot like a boy. During this time every single stranger I interacted with called me a he. I was completely unaffected by it and usually didn’t even correct them because they were strangers and I knew I was never going to see them again (plus these interactions were all very short, if they were longer I would tell them I was a girl). That’s how little I cared, because I knew I was a girl and how strangers saw me did not matter to me at all. I was secure in my identity, and so getting called a boy never made me insecure or hurt my self image. That’s how it is when you have an inner peace about yourself, other people’s opinions aren’t strong enough to hurt you like that. Now I can understand that real trans people would care about how others see them, but they wouldn’t get angry if someone misgendered them, they would just continue on with their transition and continue to do their best to appear as the opposite sex. On another note, most of the people in this video aren’t transgender, and the way they react to being “midgendered” is proof of that. Real trans people just want to pass and be undetected, they’re not trying to make a scene and let everybody know they’re trans. Because the point of being transgender is NOT that they want to be trans, it’s that they want to be the opposite sex. The people in these videos WANT to be trans, they don’t want to be the opposite sex. They want the attention and the power trip that comes with talking down to other people and basically scolding them like children when they get their pronouns wrong. It’s all fun and games for them. And I’d be willing to bet that if you took all these “trans” people and put them in their own little community together they’d want to come back into normal society because they wouldn’t get to be oppressed, they wouldn’t get to feel special, and they wouldn’t get to blame any “cis white straight people” for their unhappiness.

Trans dude here! Im actually really happy to see someone say this. Of course there are some people that will "let you know" theyre trans like wearing trans flag pins or have something sewn into their jacket so they can express pride and find community and allat. But theres no way in hell ill look at trans dudes wearing huge skirts and faces of sparkly makeup and want to respect that person. Same with trans women that look like they could snap my arm in an arm wrestle and make no attempt to look feminine. It really is just wanting to look and feel like the opposite sex, not yell at everyone who calls me she and make even less people want to respect me.

One of the biggest things that people use to try and figure out if you are male or female is your voice. You can look like the most feminine woman on the planet but if your voice makes the brown note jealous people will think you are a guy. This happens all the time. Train your voice, it is not impossible and it will save you so much trouble but no people don't do that because it takes effort. Notice how it is always the most self-entitled people that kick up the biggest fuss over being mis-gendered. A normal trans person will probably feel bad but they will more likely think "I am not passing well enough, I need to try harder" over acting a fool in public.

I kind of find this whole pronouns argument completely superfluous. It's not even about 'being trans' or 'how you identify'. It's about control. It's always been about control. Gender is the current cover for a much deeper issue: our society's rampant narcissism problem. If gender wasn't the hot trend right now, then it would be something else. Like being disabled. Essentially, whatever these types of people can use as leverage to make other people feel sorry for them so they can do, act and say whatever they want without consequences. It is a free license to abuse other people and then be called a hero afterwards. It's an addiction. It is narcissism.

This is what happens when you give participation trophies, don't let your kids ever experience any negative emotions and dote on them by giving them everything they ever want because the parents think that's love.
