I like that you are picking the songs you know & love, because you can appreciate what she does to songs with her original arrangements, which she has been doing since she was 7. Most fans like reactors to follow the chronological development of her voice, because it's amazing. But her music catalog is so extensive, that it will take you a year or two to catch up to where she is now, & she's released 3 new songs in the last 5 months, with an album coming soon. Can't wait for the next one!

Pick anything of hers you want. She will kill it guaranteed. Can she cover Whitney? Yup and she does it better than anyone you can name. I can not and will not go a day without listening to multiple songs from Angelina. I have been convinced for quite a while that she is the greatest vocalist ever, and with each new song she just adds separation between herself and everyone else. You have heard her now at ages 12 through 15. I would suggest you travel back to when she was 9 years old and watch her cover of Screamin' Jay Hawkins I Put a Spell On You, the B&W Studio recording. Your head may explode, but it is worth it.

I have found that every time I listen to Angelina Jordan, it makes me want to become a better person than I currently am. She is not only an absolutely extraordinary singer and artist, but also a wonderful, positive and encouraging person.

A couple of songs that she covered by Adele are "A million years ago" (12yrs) "Someone like you" (13yrs) are actually better than the originals. Also done live. BTW, she started singing when she was 1 1/2 years old. Started off with jazz. She saw Simon Cowell when she was 3 years old and wanted to sing for him. She finally got the chance 10 years later on AGT. She also saw Whitney Houston and wanted to become a Superstar singer also. She also covers Whitney Houston's "I will always love you" at age 11. It was a 1st take of a rehearsal video. She kills it, virtually singing acapella. It's another live performance. One take !!. Absolutely amazing.

As you mentioned, AJ gives all her covers her special "Angelina touch", but what she never does is show boat. As you continue your AJ journey you will notice this too. Even when she was real little she refrained from doing the things that all other young singers do, belting and carrying on to show their ability's at every note they can, none of that from AJ (mature at 7...). That is why I find myself listening to her songs again and again. A showboat may be impressive and fun to watch once, but a true artist that puts her whole soul in to interpreting the song, and doesn't strain to impress me, now that impresses me!...lol!

Dave welcome to the choir of angels who cherish the most talented vocalist of our lives. Angelina is unlike anything we have experienced before. Her Whitney Houston cover of I Have Nothing is a good choice but you will learn that so many other performances from when Angelina was 6 through 13 will likely surpass that one as your favorites. Angelina excels when the effort level is a 1 out of 10. Most vocalists try to reach that 10 level while Angelina has the skills to do so much when her voice just easily flows.

As you’ve already discovered, Angelina is addictive, and no one wants to be cured. Thankfully, sh has shared enough to satisfy our cravings, and the best thing is they can be listened to over and over and still be deeply satisfying. Such an emotional moment for both of them! I'm sure your wife will appreciate you sharing Angelina's version with her, even if she's camera shy ;) Angelina was 13 years old when she sang this. It's insane! She has a way of tapping into an "universal love", I would call it. Obviously she hasn't experienced romantic love at that age or prior but she KNOWS what love is and pours it into every one of her songs. All her performances are live. Apart from the Norway's Got Talent, the AGT ones and the concerts she's given, she normally just records herself or has her grandma do it, singing with a track or with a musician. Recently one of her all-time guitarists said in an interview that they would bounce ideas for song off each other and decided what they would sing. You should take the time to listen to her at six years. I believe at her forth time in a sound booth before she had ever set foot on a public stage. Singing a rendition of “I Who Have Nothing “ in the style of Tom Jones. You will be gobsmacked. This is a child that is first recorded singing at eighteen months of age. That told her mother at age three she wants to sing for Simon Cowell after seeing a talent show on TV. That tells her mother at five she wants to sing for the Noble Peace Prize Concert, and wants to be a superstar and sing for the world. Guess what has happened.

have you heard the back up vocal on the 2 chours? it's john legend in persona, because she ask him if she can do this song with him together and he says yes, ok. so she has mixed his part in the back up vocal. she knows what she wants and is straight going her way not only to sounds special, no to be special. and in deed she is. another great female singer from norway is ,,Auroa,, (a great, great cover from david bowie ,,life on mars,,). she is a singer and songwriter since she found an old piano at the age of 6 and has written her first song at the age of 9. it's a absolut different kind but also a voice you never heard befor. thanks for your reaction! thumbs up....
