Hint: she has TV-studio performances of those last two, but she also has live recordings and all of them are spectacular in their own way.) But I'd strongly recommend listening to her cover-song's original artist versions first. Her vocal skills are even more highlighted when I realize what she grew up listening to, and how she mastered her own vocal tools. Starting at Age 7.

She will dig into your emotions on a regular basis. You have no idea what you stumbled upon. This is a 15 year old that has been singing at a top level for a long long time. Throw a dart at her list of songs. You'll hit one that will at the very least surprise you, probably emotionally move you, and will leave you wanting more. She can sing anything by anybody and she can do it probably better than anyone you ever heard. She has a boat load of covers that are better than the originals. This was a good example.

Imagine it's the end of a movie and the lounge singer and the piano player are the only two left in the room. Now, she sits down and begins to vent about the fact her love will soon be gone forever. The electricity her voice emits, with far more passion than Adele could do, goes directly into the depths of the human soul. This is a difficult song, and this young girl does it sitting down, which in of itself should decrease her ability......but it doesn't.

This video was mostly intented as a gem for the fans, so the effort put into it is probably limited. But make no mistake, in the past she has recorded many of her covers in just one or two takes, mostly capturing herself jamming with her guitar player. This cover has been thrown in between while she's been releasing original singles from her upcoming album which are of course professionally mastered, the first one even got 3 different professional videos. You'll also find various show and concert performances on other channels. The current count is at 140+ songs.

She had just turned 8 years old when I heard her first time, and it was mindblowing instant love. As superstardom is inevitable in this case, I am glad her rise there is in just a correct pace. Because it’s not something that should happen over night. Angelina can grow into that in a way allowing her to adept to it step by step, while maintaining having a childhood, youth and normal life too.

Angelina Jordon has the same effect as Turkish Delight from CS Lewis. She is catnip. Uncanny. Almost Twilight Zone kind of circumstance. Her sense of hearing must be extraordinary! Angelina is a consciousness shifting performer, she allows the listener a "better view" for a moment. We are fortunate.

What I love about her is that although she is a great singer, but she is a first class human being on top of it. All to often today we see kids here age who don't honor their parents and grandparents. The fact that she loves her grandmother and how much she misses her grandfather and let's it shine though is just one more thing that makes her so special. Today we see our teens growing up and everything is about their friends and not their family in today's world. She also has a huge heart which she shows by not wearing shoes during her performances there by honoring the promise she made to that little girl she met while traveling with her grandmother who was too poor to buy a pair of shoes. She even to this day 10 years later is honoring that promise she made. She has good people around her to let her sing and entertain but still puts her education and her upbringing first. Her voice is beautiful and she moves peoples hearts when she sings, it is almost like she is putting her own sorrows and enjoyment out in the public for all to see and feel.

She has over 130 covers and originals on KZfaq including genres from jazz to pop to EDM. She gives new life to everything she covers. Enjoy discovering her repertoire.

Dave, keep in mind that Angelina is a recording engineer’s dream because she nails her performances in one take. There is also the fact that there is no need for an engineer to have to use auto tune or any other type of digital massaging of the barefoot princes’s vocals.

Great first reaction to the Queen of jazz/soul!! You should try her fresh new single 7th Heaven. You gonna hit replay button like crazy. She's the real deal!!

She has written into her contract control and discretion over the songs she sings, the arrangements (she does all her arrangements herself), how the recordings are mastered and worked on. One of the things she does NOT allow absolutely is autotune or any similar programs applied to her voice. None. Not in recordings and not onstage in performance. It is verboten. A few reactors with supposed professional credentials have said autotune is used by her. Absolutely NOT. Not at any time. I know firsthand she will sing it until she feels it has been a perfect take. No enhancements or digital embellishments. Over the years I have heard her sing informally and in person, on stage in concert, In studio and elsewhere. What comes from her body comes from her soul. What she sings is what you get. Nothing added or subtracted in any way. Once a long time ago she sat with me in an iced cream parlor eating a Sundae and she sang only part of a song (I disremember which song it was) and when she reached the chorus the windows behind us shook in their frames. A few seconds later her voice swept downward to a rich whisper. A minute later she was laughing and joking like any kid her age. I think she was nine or maybe ten at the time. She is on a lifelong musical journey that is also a journey of the spirit. By spiritual journey I mean one that cannot be contained by any doctrine or organized religion. Her life, her magnificent soul and her unmatched talent is leading her toward a profound and undoubtably world altering mission.
