i love how reviews for almost every book in this series are kinda legit, you even agree with some points... and then there is house of hades which gets reviews like GAY BAD

Also, just my shipper side - the fact that Percy's first "I love you" to Annabeth wasn't in his POV (or at least Annabeth's) is simply unforgivable to me. Like, I've been waiting so long and with such an anticipation for this...

The fact that most of the House of Hades reviews are about Nico's sexuality is making me so mad. Literally it could have been anything but noo a boy likes another boy and thats it the book is bad.

The fact that BoO didn't have all the Seven's POVs is still so unbelievable. For me, it's not just Percy and Annabeth. This was supposed to be a final culmination of all the Seven's journeys and storylines. While I do find good stuff in Nico and Reyna's POVs, they feel so out of nowhere to me and I would exchange them for the rest of the Seven's POVs without a second thought.

I think I might be the most unobservant person on the planet😭 I loved the book and nothing seemed out of the ordinary to me.

1:14 - Okay that review complaining about Nico being "gay crap" makes me want to slam my head into the wall. I also have no strength to deal with these people. 2:43 - The fact that people are surprised that not everyone is not white just kills me. Like dude, that's a good thing because it represents the diversity of the world. 2:58 - Also as a lesbian who is always in the shadows in terms of my sexuality (not at all personality lol), the fact that one person being gay is outrageous is plainly absurd. There is not even enough representation for me to feel included in society, so one person is the end of the world? Just outrageous. And this is only the beginning of the homophobic reviews, but I'm just glad you're all for the representation!

7:49: I have to agree tho with Annabeth and Percy's arcs not being finished.

Sure HOO wasn't amazing but I definitely don't regret reading it at all

7:13 Percy does make a choice, he chooses to let Bob die for him, Chooses to let Leo and Jason handle Gaia. He chooses to let Annabeth walk alone.

I think the blood of Olympus is good besides the ending

I don’t think Heroes of Olympus is as good as Percy Jackson, but people complaining that Percy and Annabeth don’t get enough in the final book just doesn’t make sense to me. We literally had an entire series with them. Heroes of Olympus is not a continuation of the Percy Jackson series. It’s about new characters, and in fact started with Jason, Leo, and Piper. It makes sense that the story ends with them. that critique just doesn’t make sense to me.

I think Nico and Reyna's pov was put on purpose by Rick Riordan. See Nico played a major role in trials of Apollo which took off from the blood of Olympus. Till the blood of Olympus we didn't get to know much about Nico. But Nico was largely explored by Riordan in the last book. I think he intended to create a base of Nico's character so TOA wouldn't feel forced

A bit off topic I guess but you were rocking a great hair-dress combo here. On another note the one gripe I do have with Blood of Olympus is that the combination of the Nico Reyna chapters take up somewhat more of the book than I would have ideally liked, meaning that the culmination of the story of the seven and their POVs in Greece and final battle against Gaea felt a bit rushed and too compacted. I guess I do agree with some reviews on BOO there, although I did generally like the book by virtue of it expanding on characters that I do love.

"They shouldn't have taken a whole book to get through hell" It's hell. It's a very large place filled with tons of obstacles making it dangerous to navigate. Where is the exploration of the world building or the sense of journey or the weight of the situation if you have them just get out right away

I didn’t hate the blood of Olympus, but I agree that it is the weakest of the series. this book is proof that you can’t always trust the ratings to know whether or not a book is good. Comparing ratings across the series The blood of Olympus had the highest of the five, but it had the lowest number of reviews because so many people had lost interest before this point. at least we know that most of the ratings given were from real fans of the books and not from frustrated parents or Rando‘s new to the series. I feel bad for all of those who stopped reading the series because of the point of you change. It’s so sad to think that they will now never get to the trials of Apollo! that’s their loss though. people keep comparing the blood of Olympus to the last Olympian. The final battle is rather disappointing, but in the last Olympian the demigods were defending which I think is a more interesting point of view. More preparation and such. But I also can’t complain that the final battle was over quickly. Less painful. That is, until Leo died! Even if it was brief. I agree however, that the series began with Jason, piper, and Leo and therefore, it should end with them. I really don’t care that Percy and Annabeth didn’t get their own points of view. Nico and Will forever!💀☀️❤️‍🩹💞👨🏼‍❤️‍👨🏻

I do agree with many criticisms of Boo, however criticisms of Hoh are dumb and homophobic

*House of Hades reviews* Me: It’s literally just one character *Blood of Olympus reviews* Me: I agree that book was painful to read. Like, no one cares about Jason. NO ONE. And the entire book was about Jason. That’s why so many people hate it. Percy and Annabeth, the characters that everyone likes, get sidelined for the characters that no one cares about (Jason and Piper specifically). Also, the lack of Frazel. They were literally in a few fight scenes and the Apollo and Artemis scene and that was IT. That book was legitimately awful.

To be honest, I agree more than half of BOO comment (especially the one about percy choice) . If someone told me it is a fanfic, I would say well done, it's not.
