This reading my diary video is a little bit different than the other ones I’ve made before because it’s to celebrate my 14 YEARS of writing in a journal! In today’s video, I thought it would be super fun to read a journal entry for every year that I’ve been writing (starting at 6 years old and going allllll the way to 20 years old)!!❤️

There was a lot of good but also a lot of bad. A lot that I haven’t/won’t share online as well because it’s too hard to relive and too personal to share. I think I’ve mostly done a decent job at maintaining a positive outlook despite those dark times & hardships though. What I’ve shared online is only a fraction of it! But yes, I did have some true & real happiness in my childhood. Overall I was happy

I think it’s really cool and brave of you to share what you did share on the internet- I’d be way way too scared to do that, it’s cool that you didn’t romanticize your childhood to be like a movie but you also shared about a lot of the sweet, endearing, and funny parts too! :)

Hello Carrie! Today I started my first day of journaling and i’m 11 years old. You really inspired me with how I write because todays wasn’t the best. the fact that you could write that well when you were 6 is actually impressive haha. I don't know when you started school but here we start 1st grade when we're 6 years old so that's when most people first learn how to write :P

Today was my 81st day! I have a couple other journals (more diary-like). I started just doing like once a week entries when I was 7, I'm almost 13 now and it's so odd yet so amazing to see what has changed in me as a person!

Thanks for you little speech at the end about it’s never too late to start. I started semi-daily journaling almost a year ago and I’m still a bit sad I don’t have some earlier stuff. I’ve tried so many times to start a journal, but I always end up forgetting lol. A relative gave me a journal for my birthday and a whole bunch of pens so I guess that was what inspired me. 😊

i agree from when i was in middle school til now my journals have changed so much and i like how i try to write everything that i can down as much as i can and stick things in that go with my day so that i can remember where we went or what went with what iam writing about and putting pictures in there as well. how the types of journals that i use have changed as well

Hi 🙂 I started journaling at 8 years old. I do not daily journal, because for me that makes it feel far too much like a school assignment. I write in my journal regularly. I use 5 subject notebooks for journals. A full sized 5 subject notebook lasts me about a year. I have been journaling for close 30 years. I have not kept all of my journals. I used to throw them away. I did not save them until the end of 2009. My biggest problem with journaling is pens. I had such a struggle finding a good pen I gave up and switched to pencils. I don't know what I would do if I didn't have my journal. It is the first thing I think about when I wake up and I take my journal everywhere with me. My journal is absolutely my best friend. Congratulations on 14 years!

Hi Carrie, I'm new to your channel and I have also been journaling since 2020. I'm 12 years old. I was infected with covid and I was just sitting in bed dping notjing and I thought of journaling. I have notebooks and scraps of paper from over 30 years. It's so "cringe" to read some stuff, and a lot I purged and burned in my firepit. But all in all, it's amazing to see, in writing, just how far I've come, and all the "how will I get through this" moments that yes...I got through. Growth. It's all good. 😊✌️

I was so excited for this!!! I’ve been journaling since October 7, 2019, but once Covid hit I lost all motivation. When I started watching your videos in February you gave me the motivation to write again! I’m so grateful for that, and watching this video really makes me want to start writing daily. So I’ll try lol. Also, to add on, I’ve had a pretty rough day so far, but this video really made me feel better. Tysm!
