(i never finished the final book) but i LOVED the story and writing style. creepy in the best way. there's a certain scene that i genuinely think of all the time, it's just stuck with me like crazy. maybe i'll put these on the list to recap!

Thank you for the recaps! I read the first book on my first year of high school and didn't know there was a complete series until adulthood! I was so gutted to know that I missed out on reading the books as they released lol but now I don't have time to read through the whole series. I'm so glad I found your channel! Saved me a whole lot of reading and now my high school self can finally be satisfied to know wtf those tombs or crypts for Elena meant in the first book after years of puzzling over them haha. 🥺

Binged all 9 videos in like 2 days cause I just don't have time to read the books myself... Thank you so much for being so thorough and fun and keeping me sucked in the whole time!!! Idk if it will be your vibe but there's this book series about mermaids called the waterfire saga, first book is called Deep Blue. I started it mannnyy years ago but couldn't stick with it for some reason, it's another YA war book with a beautiful and tragic main girl. I'd be overjoyed if you find it interesting and did a recap series about it!!

ohh i've never heard of those - but i really like mermaids!! i'll add it to my list to check it out :) right now im starting to work on some cruel prince videos, and i am still trying to work through the blood and ash series lol i think im going to try and tackle the prequel series first and see if i like it more than the main story!

Aelin's decision to randomly trade Elena for Erawan pissed me off so much and almost ruined the entire book for me because what do you mean you're gonna sacrifice the fate of the entire world for a person who is ALREADY dead and who started this whole mess? And like the whole time it's been presented as either the Firebringer can defeat Maeve and Erawan OR you have to get rid of Erawan by forging the Lock so the fact that Aelin forged the lock, lost her powers AND didn't send Erawan away is BONKERS i dont understand that decision, it doesn't make any sense and i'm rlly mad about it. Also, i hate the trope of a super powerful character losing their power (like Nesta in acosf....)

Same. I hated this. And, also that she fights her way back to Rowan just to almost sacrifice herself AGAIN with Maeve and Erawan. So much rage.

he physically died when the magic keeping his body alive was drained, but his spirit was still around in their version of the other side. so when aelin and dorian go there to forge the lock, his spirit shows up and steps in to take dorian's place and safe his life!

😅 It is paradox, I love Acotar for its characters, ToG for the amazing story and lore and CC1 for the world building....what then happened to CC2 to CC3 😢 made me sad, because SJM can wright interwoven wonderful stories as you showed so perfectly by this video series.
