I read Babysitter’s Coven right after Winterween after seeing you post it as one of your reads. I agree cute read and I feel like if I found it in like my preteen years I would have been obsessed, but it did feel too young for me now. I had a blast with Winterween and actually enjoyed all my reads, even if one was a let down. I vlogged it and had some major no film days too

I haven't read Nestlings or Mary yet! I need to get a move on! 😂 I actually looked at What Waits in the Woods today at Walmart while grocery shopping! Kind of glad i didn't buy it, although i agree that the cover is very pretty. I actually also really enjoyed Five Total Strangers (and Survive the Night!). I also had major anxiety about the driving in snow parts of that book and actually had to do it today! So scary! I hate driving in snow! That Twisted Retreat box was awesome! I love the bat spatula!

Owning lots and lots of books is great until you have to pack them up... 😄Like, really, books? Do you need to be so heavy? I had a feeling Nestlings wouldn't be your favorite... 🙂 I loved Mary, but Nestlings was just okay. I liked the twist on the vampires, it was an interesting take on such a classic creature, but I didn't connect with the characters. And the ending really didn't work for me. I don't have kids either, never wanted any, but the was Ana just gave up her kid? I know she had these complicated feeling for her since birth, but would a person really just go "Oh, well, you're one of them now, have a great little monster-life". I don't know, it seemed too easy. I did like the afterword, where we get more insight to why Cassidy wrote the story, but overall, it was just an okay book for me. I will still pick up his next one, though, I do think he is a very talented writer. Love when we get some Lettie-content, she is a cutie! 🥰

Nestlings was a little bit of a let down. First half was better. It reads like a season of American horror story (which is not bad per se). I was rooting for them, I wish we could’ve seen more character development and overcoming obstacles together. It would’ve been a better story rather than the same trope of the husband growing more and more frustrating. Overall a 3 star rating
