Senku afterwards explains that those weren't normal ropes (because "normal ropes" are not that easy to do in a Stone Era) and that's why that acid could melt them...

A regular cop missing modern law and justice system? Of course. An unstable young man who got fired from the police for not following protocol and sticking to his own raw and aggressive sense of justice? Yeah, I’d say it makes sense he’d be okay in a simple word where he’s granted the authority to run a prison as he see fits
@TheSorrowfulAngel

Exactly. Thing is, Yo is a good guy. And our modern system is rife with corruptions and bureaucratic issues that block the way to getting criminals arrested. There are enough criminals around we cannot touch for one reason or another. Mafia bosses are usually well known to the police, they know what they did and how they did it, yet cannot convict them. Yo just wants to punch a bad guy, make the bad gay say "I'm sorry" and call it there. Simple and righteous, if only it would work that way.

Plus, police force in Japan aren't really carrying heavily loaded fire arms. Maximum tolerance suggest full use of their batons.

I feel like the "missing technology" part can be explained with a bit of misinformation from Tsukasa. If he told everyone else that Senku is just trying to make firearm to take control of the miracle cave, then they don't think "Oh yeah that dude who we're trying to get rid of can *just re-invent everything*"

As a kendo practitioner, I can tell you that Japanese police martial arts tournaments are a big deal. They scout in university and high school tournament to bring people to the police force just for their kendo. I don’t know much about batons, but police kendo is legit. There are police officers who practice kendo all day so they would win in the police championships and rarely do any regular police duty other than participate in ceremonies.

Actually the baton class in Japan is a thing. It’s similar to the shooting contest here in the states. It’s because the police aren’t legally able to carry firearms in Japan. At least until detective rank. Most beat cops are allowed to carry a baton and a empty gun and really those are literally just really loud noise makers. It’s very strict with firearms in Japan and you have to go through a giant process with several psychological evaluations and a waiting list of like seven years. Then you have to store the gun in a tight safe with ammo in another safe. Then have yearly psychological visits and yearly check ins with the police and it’s just ridiculous how much you go through to keep it.
@TheSorrowfulAngel
@TheSorrowfulAngel 3 жыл бұрын
Tbh, I wouldn't call it ridiculous. Thanks to all that, japan is a safe country and japan's policeforce is very well liked. Been to Japan myself and the police there are really nice and helpful people.

That is the extremely best course for police men that we need in the United States because to be a police officer is relatively easier and over here they give u guns like it’s nothing of course I understand why but it’s ridiculous that most police men resolve to outright shooting people who don’t even have weapons because the person is rushing at them? If I remember correctly police men go thru a self defense course adding karate taekwondo everything into it yet they get scared when some random dude is rushing at them so they pussy out and start blasting them with bullets is ridiculous how they shoot kids as well because of it the police force over here is just absolute garbage

@@wild5851 Man i just don't know how someone can be that stupid... "most police men resolve to outright shooting people who don’t even have weapons because the person is rushing at them?" - Man just work on your reasoning... First- if someone is rushing towards police officer that told him to not move then this person probabbly don't have any good intentions. Second - how do you know that this person don't have any weapon ? Can you see what the have in their pocket or under clothing ? If that person would follow instruction nothing would happen to him. Go watch some records from police body cams and maybe you will understand why they do that. " If I remember correctly police men go thru a self defense course adding karate taekwondo everything into it yet they get scared when some random dude is rushing at them so they pussy out" - man you crearly watch to much anime/movies and you don't have any fucking idea about fighting so let me explain that to you. First of all knowing any self defense don't mean that you can win any fight and every fight involves risk plus if you are fighting someone bigger that you then you or having weapon or they are under the influence of drugs then you are taking even bigger risk and for what reason police officer should take this risk ? What he should do is to first ensure seafty of people around him and second for himself cuz he need to protect others next day. Seafty of some random dude who start to attacking either him or other people is less important cuz when he took thos actions he automatically lose right to complains and should feel lucky that he survived. Self defence is used in the last resort and any good coach/master will tell you that.And on top of that police officer aren't pro fighters and they don't train few hours a day every day. And lastly do you even know why people in Japan don't commit crimes ? It's not only cuz they don't have guns but because society there work differently in Japan and committing a crime carries a hugh social stigma i reccomend you watch this video part "addiction to justice " kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bp9jf5aHyZ6agJs.html And seeing your reasoning skills i give you a example on how different society in Japan works. There is story about actress that was arrested for possessing a small amount drugs that in every other country would be nothing much but in Japan she had been effectively scrubbed from the public domain. She lost her job was forced to declare she would never work again as an actress, and was publicly shamed across the media. And that was even before any evidence had been shown to a judge in court. So don't compare two totally different countries based only on one thing.

Tsukasa is basically reviving badasses. Minami, the girl, was a reporter so she helps him find the kind of people he's looking for. Most of them are not really that loyal to him. They just kind of go along with whatever he says just because he revived them and he's so massively strong that none of them dare to stand up against him. Tsukasa is also making the mistaking of not looking much into those people's past lives. As far as we know a lot them could have criminal backgrounds. As for Yo, he used to be a badass cop but he's also violent, arrogant, not too smart, and maybe corrupt. Maybe he misses technology a little bit, but for now he's willing to overlook that if he can climb the ranks faster in this lawless world.

Tsukasa: wants to create a new world without the corruption of the old world also Tsukasa: revives a soldier (Ukyo was technically in the military) and a dirty cop (say what you will about how good Yo's intentions were, but shooting to kill before attempting to arrest them is pretty dirty; that one guy shot at Yo first, but he was running away when Yo shot and killed him. Also of all the things to shoot someone over, "a corrupt politician accepting a bribe" is not the most death-sentence worthy crime); my point is that they were both part of the systems that kept and maintained the order of the ruling classes that Tsukasa despises the most.

Well, Yo matching his ideals is iffy, but Ukyo does make some sort of sense, at least with what you're saying about military. He wasn't a soldier in a military like you're saying here - he was part of the jsdf. The Japanese Self Defence Force. They mostly respond to natural disasters and the like, and are by no means a typical military organization.

I think the whole thing with them not being shown missing the modern world and it's creature comforts could be chalked up to us seeing what has become of them after they've been revived for some time now and have had plenty of time to adjust to the new world they've found themselves living in. Sure in season 1 we had the whole plot thread with Gen missing Cola and switching sides thanks to Senku promising to make him some Cola and even in season 2 we have Taiju and Yuzuriha getting others to switch to Senku's side, but those are examples of people seeing Senku being able to recreate things of the modern world. As someone else in the comments section said, Tsukasa almost definitely is twisting things to make Senku out to be the bad guy and himself the good guy who just wants to bring about a better world.

2:40 probably the reason of why the long way is shown first is so that you can link it better to previous knowledge (in this example showing that it is in fact that and how this was found out instead of just saying "Hey, the derivative of x³ is 3x² and it works this way", but instead showing the thought process behind it for an hour or two first and then present the simple way to do it)

It's primitive rope, not modern rope, so it would be destroyed by just his collected sweat most likely, but also while the hypochlorite was being formed, the water in Chrome's sweat was being split into hydrogen and oxygen. once the solution is only water and hypochlorite, the water would just continue splitting until Chrome took the wires out. Rinse and repeat with more collected sweat and you could have nearly any concentration of hypochlorite you want. Though the copper on the anode miiiiiiiiiiight be stealing oxygen from the process, so take that about the concentration with a grain of salt.

There are definitely people missing technology, people are staying loyal to Tsukasa because not only do they hardly know about Senku (with most expectations of him probably being replaced with propaganda), they also believe the entire world has turned to stone and all technology in general is gone, making it pointless to try to regain technology and try to go against Tsukasa alone. This is clearly shown by the fact of when they get the expectation that America is up-and-running with zero problems and full technology, they want to join Senku’s side.
