Yes babies should be able to stay with their mothers. Every other country let's their children to stay with their Mothers. Bonding is very important. Babies will not remember the jail.

That’s just cruel giving they woman no notice so her birth partner couldn’t make the birth. That’s cruel, it’s almost like they did it on purpose..

Nothing hurts more than a mother not being able to see her child/ren. 💔 I pray these women change their lives and get the continued support & help they need. It takes ALOT to retrain your brain from being traumatized as a child. ☹ so sad. These woman need empathy NOT more judgment.

I think it's a good idea to let them have their babies there. I like the kind prison officer who was there with Rebecca while having her c-section she was compassionate. I think it would keep these mums on the straight and narrow. I'm sure theres not many or any fights in prison.

I've never seen one prison guard who thinks it's a negative thing. The people closest to these women think it's a positive. That's a sign right there. I remember in another video a prison guard saying that if a women left prison who wasn't allowed to keep her baby, she always expected to see them again. But the ones who had been allowed to keep their babies rarely came back. That's powerful. If it's best for mom and baby and keeps reoffender rates down why wouldn't we do it...?

Jail isn't supposed to be a punishment. In fact the very definition of the system is to rehabilitate. Unless they're a lifer...its not particularly a punishment, by definition and root. So there's the flaw in that statement.

I couldn't imagine being put into this position where I wouldn't be able to see my child. My heart aches for all the mothers going through this.
