Great summary from the Spongebob Wiki (spongebob.fandom.com/wiki/Kra...
A depressed Plankton wakes up and goes to the Krusty Krab one morning without a plan to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula, telling Karen that he will "wing it", not knowing what he might get himself into. When he goes inside, he slips on the floor where SpongeBob just mopped and is ridiculed by Mr. Krabs. Two customers observing the incident comment that there should've be a wet floor sign and that they would sue Krabs for everything he possesses if that happened to them, including the Krabby Patty secret formula. Plankton then pretends to be badly injured and, after paramedics come and pick him up, Plankton threatens to sue Mr. Krabs unless he gives him the formula, but Mr. Krabs angrily refuses.
Fearing that he will lose the case, Mr. Krabs hires a lawyer named Richard A. Bottomfeeder, who tells him that he will not charge him anything unless they win and that they will counter-sue Plankton for everything he owns. Later, in Mr. Krabs' office, SpongeBob wants to read his testimony speech to Mr. Krabs. However, Mr. Krabs declines SpongeBob's testimony and tells him that he could be more of a liability than an asset. Unfortunately, as they prepare to leave for the court hearing, Richard slips and falls, breaking his back. He gives SpongeBob his briefcase, saying that they only need what's inside the briefcase to win the case. SpongeBob takes Richard's suit and arrives late to the trial, dubbing himself "SpongeBob LawyerPants" to Judge Stickleback.

I get asked a lot about whether being a practicing attorney is like being a lawyer on TV. I love watching legal movies and courtroom dramas. It's one of the reasons I decided to become a lawyer. But sometimes they make me want to pull my hair out because they are ridiculous.
Today I'm taking a break from representing clients and teaching law students how to kick ass in law school to take on lawyers in the movies and on TV. While all legal movies and shows take dramatic license to make things more interesting (nobody wants to see hundreds of hours of brief writing), many of them have a grain of truth.
This is part of a continuing series of "Lawyer Reaction" videos. Got a legal movie or TV show you'd like me to critique? Let me know in the comments!

Tornadoc Films @LegalEagle this is in which I have my first objection. Throughout the series, Spongebob has been known to be insanely smart and holds multiple career abilities even though he acts absolutely dumb, which is likely on purpose to maintain his youthful appearance and behavior, which he sometimes ends up forgetting he’s an adult. In fact, you can present the proof in multiple episodes that Spongebob is very very very good at tests and most knowledge and physical based skills despite failing the actual driving behind the wheel tests time and time again. Spongebob could and I believe has actually gone to law school and actually passed his bar exam, albeit barely due to his “bubbly personality”, but ultimately decided he wanted to fulfill his dream of being a fry cook at the Krusty Krab. Other skills and things he’s skilled at and passed, marketing, acting, singing, a black belt in karate (proved many times) and has actually been in some construction projects

"There should be a wet floor sign.” Objection. They are marine animals at the bottom of the ocean. A wet floor is the default and expected condition. In fact, a dry floor would be hazardous to all of the restaurant staff and patrons. Therefore providing a wet floor was due diligence on behalf of Mr. Crabs. Mic drop, followed by a reprimand from the judge to refrain from dropping the mic.

Actually, you CAN have standing water underwater. Underwater rivers and lakes are a thing, no joke. There's an underwater river in the Black Sea that was discovered in 2010! An underwater river forms because of differences in salinity, which causes a difference in density. This forms layers of water, better known as a halocline. In the case of the Black Sea, it stems from salty water spilling through the Bosphorus from the Mediterranean Sea into the Black Sea, where the water has a lower salt content. They can be pretty dangerous due to pressure differences and can pull you in, like it has to many fish, it causes them to drown (because it's MUCH saltier). Yes, fish drowning...in an underwater river.

The fish lawyer having only a Krabby Patty as his evidence was actually a brilliant play. When Plankton leaps out of his chair after it (as the lawyer likely predicted he would), it proves three things: 1. Plankton's injuries were fake, and so he does not deserve everything he asks for 2. Plankton's testimony is full of lies, and so he has committed perjury 3. Plankton's goal was to steal the Krabby Patty formula

Also I don't remember the details much but there was a king or maybe pope who got angry at a government official (I do believe it was the treasurer) so he angrily fired the guy and instead placed his divine horse as his replacement. People tried to argue against this as well but apparently the horse was simply unquestionable with the king or pope backing him, I don't recall how long this dragged out but an angry mob eventually killed the ruler for his insanity. NOT A LAWYER, just a guy who watches a lot of legal videos. Depends on if the formula is considered a trade secret. When you buy a business you own everything that once belonged to that business including trade secrets like recipes, manufacturing techniques, intellectual property, and so on. So if Plankton won and Mr. Krabs couldn't give him all that money Plankton could accept ownership of the business as payment. In that case I'd say he gets the formula.

@@juannaym8488 Yeah, I get the feeling that, if anything, the prospect of selling it to Plankton might (big "might" though) be the one thing that would override his greed and convince him to sell it for a lower price on the off chance that no one was willing or able to match Plankton's offer. Plus, there was that episode where he sold the Krusty Krab to some multi-billion dollar franchising company and they gave him an absolutely absurd amount for it. Given how Plankton's restaurant has been a complete failure for years and that we never see much in the way of other income aside from maybe some other criminal activities and possibly selling some of his inventions, I can't imagine Plankton being able to put up much of a commanding bid. Side note, I don't know if he's aware of this, but Plankton has prior arrests that should be on the record if we're going to inject realism here, most, if not all, of which are directly tied to his attempts to steal Mr. Krabs' formula. Shouldn't that count for something? In fact, shouldn't he be legally barred from ever setting foot on Mr. Krabs' property or something to that effect?

2:37 Here's how. Underwater (more typically in freshwater), there is something called a brine lake. It is the same thing. Water. Except it has a much higher salt content. I believe that the characters in the Krusty Crew and in the SpongeBob universe use water from brine lakes as us humans use normal water.

Well, water being present under water is possible and does exist in a nature. It a subsequence of a difference in density present between two waters. For example, a water containing a larger amount of salt may separate from other water and end up at the bottom, however; I'm not sure how he slipped.
