I am the first flamboyant natural exemple, I have send some photos to Merriam thinking I was maybe a dramatic with some softness and a natural jawline. Turns out my "softness" is in fact my "bluntness" ! I didn't think I coule be a flamboyant natural because of the celebrities exemples ( I am not a top model, and not an athletic hollywood actress). @rexysmith40295 жыл бұрын
Im flamboyant natural and I am envious of other type because I always felt that I don't look feminine because waist emphasis doesn't look good on me at all. or that I never look "put together" because typical classic or cute stuff looks really awkward on me 😂 we always want the opposite of what we have 😆 but now thanks to Kibbe I understand why and I can try to work with my line to look the way I want .
@sofiaroman18445 жыл бұрын
Hey, no envy is required, all types have our challenges. As a natural my issue has always been with my wide shoulders and trying to style outfits that dont exagerate them. Discovering Kibbe has taken a huge frustration out of knowing what to wear, and appreciate my figure! ♡

@@sofiaroman1844 oh yeah, kibbe shows that all body types are beautiful in their own way! My best friend during childhood was always very long and skinny and dry in almost every feature. Firstly, the 3rd SN was giving me Molly Ringwald vibes. If she hasn’t dressed up as Claire from “The Breakfast Club” for Halloween yet, there’s a costume idea. Regarding the natural woman’s yin facial features: I’ve noticed that naturals can tend to have “open” faces. I think perhaps that accounts for the yin undercurrent in the face. I think that “openness” is how blunt yang is communicated in the face. This is noticeable even in the SNs and FNs shown in the video.

I live in Australia and so I don't want to be getting skin damage on my upper chest every time I'm going outside, but I look weird if I wear normal T-shirts with a high neckline. Your opinions are so insightful, so I'd love to hear what you think might work. :) I really can't figure it out.

Big, tousled hair or big accessories are the key to achieve a more armonic balance imo, the opposite willl emphasize the bluntness (and that can look super gorgeous too and give that amazonian warrior vibe) Learning about Kibbe etc is imo a way to understand how clothes can work with your body structure and to better chose what YOU want to look like, working with what you have since birth and compliment yourself :) I'm still looking forward to "posing for body types" since same pose with different bone/flesh structure can give different message, and I want to actually chose when to look sexy or childish or strong or relaxed etc... Clothes & style are a way to Express oneself and it's the healthiest fastest way, so why not? :)

I've tried both clothes and I think I look great on them. Basically what throws me off is my yin boobs(which is pretty big for the rest of my body) and some softness in my face. I find it really hard to dress warm as a soft natural in winter. As most soft drapy fabrics are quite thin and not so much warm. Any tips for that?
@SoaringWhiteSpirit3 жыл бұрын
As a soft natural who likes to stay warm in the winter as well, I’d say first of all that “soft drapey” seems to sometimes be misunderstood. For SN it’s not meant as thin, ethereal or filmy. (Perhaps that’s more suited to romantic?) More so, it is about texture and structural “drape” and feel. Natural fibres, which are most flattering for SN fall across the body in a certain way. So, gorgeous warm woolen knits, tunic sweaters, cardigans don’t have to be thin to drape well. What SN should be probably not go for is a knit that is too boxy, too round, cropped style, tight at the neck or a button up style. I actually love sweater dresses and think they suit SNs really well. The other option with lighter knits is to layer. Actually living in a Northern climate, a tend to always layer in the winter. I think SN is lucky that it goes with the style. Another tip is wrap scarves are a magnificent accessory, versatile, add some very nice unfussy pop and keeps your neck warm in drafty places! As a SN, I have very little pattern (except for subtle textural detail) in my wardrobe, as it’s often too busy or fussy. But, some pattern in a loose wrap scarf is just up my alley. Hope that helps a bit 😁
@AngelaMastrodonato5 жыл бұрын
So, I go back and forth on whether I’m a short Flamboyant Natural (I just under 5’5”) or a Flamboyant Gamine. The lady at 14:53, I have a very similar face shape to hers, square jawline and tall, somewhat slanted forehead. I’m not familiar with “ethereal essence” but I’m guessing it has something to to with having a fairy or elf-like appearance which I don’t see in me. My eyes and nose might be a little bigger, my breast might be bigger while my hips are narrower. My torso is long while my arms and legs aren’t short exactly but are average to slightly smaller than average and small in proportion to my torso. I think of how I’m different from that lady and realize those might be my contrasts and think maybe I’m a Flamboyant Gamine.

Are wrap dresses more of a FN/N thing? I think I'm an SN but I look horrible in wrap dresses -- they make me look wide and like I have no waist despite being quite thin and having an elongated waist. What about long, straighter skirts? I tried a draped neckline with waist emphasis and a long skirt, and something felt off about it to me. I guess I'm having trouble telling the difference between what makes an outfit N, FN, and SN if it still has waist emphasis.

I think my bones are pretty yang, but I have very yin flesh (hourglass, always 'soft' flesh even when I'm really thin, very round face, big eyes). I considered SG but I think my shoulders are too wide and too busy of little prints overwhelm me. I absolutely need waist definition and soft fabrics. I considered SC, but I feel like I am too much a mix of yin / yang parts of my body, without any of it being the C blend.

Is it possible for a soft natural to be very pear-shaped with narrow shoulders? My friend is 5'2, and has the long neck, long arms with large hands and feet (for her height), but with a very yin romantic shaped torso. She looks quite sturdy and toned below the chest (chest and shoulders are small and narrow compared to the rest of her). Her face has a mix of gamine and soft natural. She looks really good in long, soft natural lines, boho stylizations, and long, wild curly hair. What confuses me is the narrow chest+shoulders...I have never seen examples of SN with pear shapes, all seem to have broader upper bodies...is it even possible? Or is she more likely to be SG or TR?

I think natural doesnt mean ones dont have pear-shaped body ,as long as you look good in natural line .I didnt think i am soft natural at first because I'm flat chested ,and all examples i saw are people with pretty curvy upper body,but then i found out I look best in soft natural line.It's not one particular part make you soft natural ,you have to look overall view of the body

I am honestly so confused, I'm a natural body type I think but I don't feel like the recommended styles make me feel pretty like made out to be by experts. I'm not sure I just feel the look is too mature, I've been struggling with insecurity on how I look and feel with things like my shoulders and smaller hips, it's helpful to know what I am atleast but it's not really me, what should I do?

I've come to the conclusion I'm SN but hate the styles. No idea why "loose" or "slight" waist emphasis is best when I have an hourglass figure.

Ok, maybe someone has an opinion on this. I think I am a soft natural, it's the type I was instantly drawn to when I started learning about this system, and I already have SN clothes in my wardrobe and I really love the lines..oversized and chunky, like Merriam said in her other SN video, that fits exactly. Regarding the test, I really think I do have a soft yang bone structure, but what "worries" me is that I am 5'5, and naturals are supposed to be taller. Although SN can be 5'5, too. I am half european and half asian (Philippines), so of course they are in general more petite. So although I feel wide in bone structure, compared to regular Europeans of course I am smaller and not "wide" (I wear size xs-s). So, can I still be a soft natural? The descriptions fit so well and I love it, but the height and width - topic irritates me a little...
@laurendesiree8545 жыл бұрын
I'm a soft natural and I'm 5"5 too! You definitely can be shorter and be a soft natural. It's more about the lines in your body rather than your height. I have long legs and a slightly longer torso, so even though I'm not tall I have a strong vertical line. I also understand about the width thing. I have a slight width to my shoulders but it's not super obvious because im still a fairly small person. But i definitely know I'm a soft natural because no other type really fits me. So im sure you could be as well!

Ok, I have this question that has been bothering me alot. Taylor swift is typed as a Flamboyant Natural, yet she wears alot of different styles. Her most iconic style is quite similar to gamine's style, shorts, cute mini dresses or brightly colored skirts or tops. And she looks amazing in them. She looks good in classic style. Taylor swift's hairstyle is also constantly changing, she loves her retro styled hair and even clothes. She does wear naturals style but I dnt see them as often as I see her in gamine type clothes. I read somewhere that she dresses more her face which is more like a Gamine's face, which is why she is able to pull off gamine style clothes. But I am unable to understand what that means.
@meriemmimi1045 жыл бұрын
You're right I was wondering that to but to me she's a pure dramatic or a dramatic classic, don't think she is a natural
@mayqs12315 жыл бұрын
Meriem Zed True, she does look quite tall and she has long lean arms and legs. But she does have blunt features and there are some pics of her along side other female celebrities, where you can see that she has wider torso. But yaa I am not 100% sure how she is a FN, or how she is able to pull off classic or gamine style dresses so effortlessly. Or what does it mean that she has a Gamine face, I think the article I read regarding the face part, is on Truth Is Beauty website.
@cianap.2815 жыл бұрын
Well, that's interesting! I looked her up and... I don't like her in FN styles. They wear her instead of the other way around. Maybe she is actually a gamine of some sort? She's got those blunt shoulders but her bones in general seem sharp to me, especially her elbows and knees (i mean, sharper than elbows and knees usually are of course). And she seems somehow gangly-pretty, rather than strong-pretty, I guess I associate that with Gamines.

What are the main differences between soft dramatics and flamboyant naturals? And which body type has the biggest/widest bones?
@cozybrandi5 жыл бұрын
Svensk Bonbon. FNs will have wider shoulders and bones. Merriam’s video comparing Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Chopra helps explain the differences.
@svenskbonbon5 жыл бұрын
Brandi Davis Thanks! I just watched that comparison. Still a bit confused. Do you think I might be a FN? I'm 5'7, overweight, pretty flat chest, no butt, no hips (apple shape); very wide skeleton, long vertical line with sloped round shoulders. Lips and eyes are option B, I have wide nose and wavy hair, and when losing weight, I get an alien/inverted triangle face shape, lol (literally).
@aliciajason2825 жыл бұрын
Svensk Bonbon. SD primarily have length/sharpness in their bones (Yang) topped with shapely/soft flesh (yin). FN have primarily broader bones (soft Yang) with length/sharpness (Yang).
@aliciajason2825 жыл бұрын
Svensk Bonbon. Based on that, you sound like a FN
@Dragking385 жыл бұрын
@@svenskbonbon do you have wider shoulders, straight maybe? Its all about, how clothing falls and drapes on your body. If you have those kind of shoulders, are taller and long lines suit you, as well as big statement jewelry, chunky and extravagant earrings for example, you might really be a flamboyant natural. Can you see amazonian essence, do you seem strong, confident, a little more "knowing" than the average Person? Do People look out for your opinion and want to be your friend? Having width ( compared to your own body) and a vertical line could translate to flamboyant natural, but its important to look at yourself with new eyes and without comparison with everybody else. A short woman with longer limbs and vertical line, with narrow bones and sharpness in the face can be a dramatic type, Short women can be any type. Being taller, the ids will have to be yangier, no theatrical romantic bigger than 5"5, cause the vertical line would add to much yang to still fit into the id. So in your case, if you dont have width compared to yourself and your skelleton is rather narrow, but longboned and you have overweight, you could be a dramatic. But having wider features really sounds, like FN could be the id, where you fit in.

I heard from her other videos that actual height doesn't really matter but the vertical line does matter, which means how tall you look to others regardless of your real height. Or maybe consider natural?

If the girl at 13:00 was short, would she be a Flamboyant Gamine?
@Dragking385 жыл бұрын
No cause gamines dont have width in bones.
@tomjones21575 жыл бұрын
No. Gamines have thinner delicate bones. Its not well known but Flamboyant Naturals can also be very short. I saw a girl on the kibbe boards who was only 5'3" that kept getting typed as a FG or a Romantic by the general public for over a year because of her height and having smaller shoulders and wider hips and slight cuteness in her face. She brought a whole wardrobe based around cutesy styles but wasn't comfortable. Everyone was ignoring the large blunt bones in her face and and very large powerful wide calves, larger hands ect that rule out gamine and romantic. Kibbe actually contacted her personally and solved the mystery. He said she should keep WELL away from any Romantic or Gamine lines as her bones weren't narrow enough. He said she is actually a Flamboyant Natural which surprised nearly everyone. Now LOVES her new wardrobe and looks fantastic in all her new FN pics she posted, as well as getting great feedback at work.
