For all you people saying this dude is weak, take into account he is super setting bench press with medicine ball push-ups. He's pretty much burning his chest out. Try this same workout and you won't even get close to what he's benching

NaVorro, stay a 9er for life. You and Willis are the best ILBs period. On top of that you guys are the most genuine players on the field. No trash talk, no fancy antics, just work, dedication, and commitment to the game. I'm proud to have you guys rep the City by the Bay.

Imagine if a running back finds a gap in the middle of the linemen, runs through and sees Willis and Bowman side by side staring at him. He's gonna get smashed and then he is gonna tell his mom he's not gonna make it.

Has Anybody on this post talkn shit about him not training his legs thought about the fact that this man just had reconstructive surgery on his knee? He's getting what he can get ready. He's still in the healing process. Looks like he's training his core since his job is to hunt mfs down on the field. Big muscular legs can cause issues with speed. & if you ever saw him play....he's doing something RIGHT.

Wow this is probably one of the better upper body training sessions I've seen so far really focusing on explosion and twitch fibers. This is why he's a beast...great flexibility and low impact training on his joints

Bowman isn't a body builder. He's a pro football player. Every workout he does is for that specific purpose. He's not on the gum to win a strongman competition or to win the Olympia. You may bench more than him, but he's one of the best line backers in the league.

Except this "workout" doesn't do anything to make him a better football player, it just unnecessarily fatigued him so he couldn't lift to his full potential and actually get stronger, therefore get better. This trainer sucks.
@Esteb86
@Esteb86 7 жыл бұрын
dy120481 you also have to change up your workouts to prevent plateaus, so you can actually continue to get bigger and stronger. If all he did was the same "football specific" workouts everyday, he'd eventually get no benefit. The body adapts

There's something you guys need to understand about how these pros train. Many of them do NOT lift hard, and don't push to get stronger. That's because they already have jobs in the NFL. Lifting hard, especially for guys who have already put their bodies through 10+ years of intense playing, is very risky, and many of them have already reach 90%+ of their genetic potential for strength and muscle. Getting just that tiny bit faster or stronger isn't necessarily worth the risk of going super hard in the gym. For you guys who are young and hungry, yes, push yourself harder then these guys are. When you have the job locked in, then back off and stay healthy. Most of these workouts are based around maintaining strength and injury prevention, plain and simple.

@lillonerboi504
@lillonerboi504 8 жыл бұрын
Most of them aren't on roids. Steroids in the NFL actually would negatively impact their play. The added strength doesn't really help, because you compensate in mobility, and overall athleticism. Look at LaRon Landry, used roids, but because he lacked proper mobility for Safety, he wasn't a very good player, even linemen need some form of mobility. Just remember these guys are tested for P.E.D's regularly. Roids aren't always the case in the elite athletes.
@deanbush1775
@deanbush1775 8 жыл бұрын
+Cameron Petet wrong Landry had mobility and fluid hips and could turn and run with range. But he's obsessed with big arms and juiced up. An then was limited in that aspect with injuries. NFL doesn't test for HGH and about 60% of the nfl is on HGH.
@lillonerboi504
@lillonerboi504 8 жыл бұрын
Dean Bush But where is he now? No where. Steroids don't mean better player. And as for HGH, until you actually have a legit bit of info that states 60%, you're just working a conspiracy angle.

Good workout. Most working on stabilizing the core which is the basis of all workouts. Other stabilizers are working too on that bosu ball. His trainers know what they're doing. I hope the Raiders re-sign him.

savant werk 1) Because muscleimbalances are not good for anyone, especially if you aren't an athelete. 2) Because that's still muscle mass (keyword mass) that he has use for when, oh I don't know, trying to tackle someone. 3) Biceps even though aren't primary movers help with shoulders, arms and chest and well basically everything that has to do with the upper body.

same thing i was wondering maybe he was tired from other chest workouts but for a nfl linebacker you would think he would at least be able to rep it 20 times. reggie bush got 225 up 25 times and he is 205-210 running back

I was thinking the same, but we don't know what he was doing prior to that, amount of time between sets/exercises, etc. He's a beast regardless. Training to play ball, not some bodybuilding 1970's shit.
@workingclassweightlifter7579
@workingclassweightlifter7579 10 жыл бұрын
All I am saying is regardless of what he did prior to that, he only pushed 225 twice on his own, and barely got the second rep...!!! All of the other reps were assisted..!! I find it surprising that he needed assistance with it...!!

@HBK358 9 жыл бұрын
Raymond Maher at the combine he did 26 reps at 225. So I highly doubt it is normally that much of an issue for him.
