Dean is such good representation of depression and emotional war with yourself. The writers did such a good job with this character and so did Jensen!

I'm glad that they're acknowledging his suicidal feelings but I hate that they're acknowledging his suicidal feelings.

Dean in my opinion is one of the greatest fictional characters ever created. His entire character development has been captivating. I loved the recent seasons with Dean getting beat down and tired because that will happen to the best of us no matter how strong they are, given enough time. I also think it's worth noting that Dean is supposed to be a mirror of Michael. Michael was tired as well, he just wanted it to be over, for paradise to arrive, for his father to come back. Michael might have lost his way, but his mental state is exactly how Dean's mental state is. Dean's mortal though so it's taken him 40 years to reach this point while Michael, it took eons. Also, may I just say that this is one of the finest Dean Winchester tributes I have ever seen. This captures so much of Dean's inner workings that is imperative to know since Dean is, more often than not, the rock the rest of his people depend on.

It makes me so sad when Dean says *in Season 1* that he's tired of this life, tired of hunting, tired of the burden on his shoulders. He was tired from the start, but he still kept pushing through for another 15 years of turmoil and heartache and stress. He and Sam are such strong characters, but they never deserved to be put through any of that.

As an older sibling, Dean's story has always hit home with me. He thinks exactly how I do, he even cries like I do and says a lot of the things I often say. It's hard to look at Dean and not see a bit of myself. I understand that childhood where you're just the tool, where mom is gone and dad's as frightening as any monster and your little brother is the favourite and your only there to do a job - but you do it and you do it the best that you can because He's Your Baby Brother and you'll be damned if you let this world take the good things away from him. You would do anything for your little brother. Anything. Even when you have nothing left to give, when your at the end of your rope and you just- When you're so damn tired of it all. Because you're not good enough. Because you keep on failing. Because you can't save him from everything, no matter how hard you try. The story of Dean's life speaks right to my soul and, damn, does it ever hurt. The part where he's talking to Sam: "There ain't no me, if there ain't no you." And every other word before and between, their relationship mirrors my own with my brother. Those lines in particular always get me the most. Because he's all that I've got left, because he's the only person who can still make or break me. We've lost everyone else. And it's equally scary as it is funny how much we play out just like Sam and Dean do. It's so sad. Every time I see one of these amv's, I'm so painfully reminded of who I am and what my life has been, because Dean is such a mirror to me. He's the words I would never admit out loud, he's how I see myself ending. I want so badly for Sam and Dean to have a good ending, I want to see that they can have that day in the sun - on that porch, side by side. I really want that.

Dean is a character that you can just relate to. Maybe not to the extreme struggles that he’s been through but we all have that feeling. Life gets tiring and theres even a point in our lives where we may even ask ourselves, should we just give up completely on life. Yet we find ourselves waking up the next morning, trying again.

Dean is the boy who grew up too quick to be a soldier, he would lay down his life for Sam and has done so often, he wants the burden to be off his shoulders and if that means sacrificing himself he'll do so, but he will protect Sammy first and foremost over anything and that's what makes this show great, the emotional connection we all feel to the show is why this show deserves a place in history and many many awards

This video had me in tears. Dean Winchester is my comfort character, and let me explain why. He always puts others before himself. He never thinks about himself, he doesn't care about himself. Sammy, Cass, Charlie and others who came into his life, he protected like the world depended on it. He sacrifices himself in the blink of an eye without thinking twice. His story always crushes me because Dean always lost people close to him. Anytime someone came into his life that he loved, he would lose them eventually. Everything gets taken away from him, it's not fair. Dean deserves to be happy. He looks at himself as daddy's blunt instrument, but he is so much more than that. He is a hero. He saved the world so many times. As Cass said before, he's done everything, the good and the bad, for love. He cares so deeply that he doesn't take time to see that other people care about him just the same. I know these people are just fictional characters, but to me they are so much more. I see so much of myself in Dean and every battle he fights, I feel it with him. He is one of the best characters written in tv history. I love Dean Winchester with all my heart.

I started watching Supernatural in 2011. I had just turned 15 and I was about to start my second year of high school. I still remember the episode on TV, it was: "I Believe the Children Are Our Future" (5th season). I barely spoke any English at the time, so I watched that season dubbed in Italian, my mother tongue. Supernatural caught me in a way I could not ever imagine. So much that it became the first piece of entertainment I ever watched in original language. Over the next 9 years I went on to university abroad in England, graduated top of my class and made it in the Deans List, undertook multiple surgieries to deal with health issues, break world records, met people from all sorts of backgrounds and cultures, worked and/or studied across 4 different countries, and solo backpacked to another continent (twice). All at the age of 24. And it all started me saying to myself: "I simply can't wait until next summer before they dubb the 6th season in Italian so that I can watch it". Supernatural motivated me to improve my English so that I could understand Sam, Dean, Crowley, Cass, and Bobby speaking with their real voice. It's funny to say but this TV show was the first piece that set in motion the series of events that have led me to being where I am today. And for that I will always be grateful. Dean making the ultimate sacrifice for his brother 😩

I would quite happily sacrifice all the crappy programs to keep this one running. I kinda hope that, Sam's the one that passes away at the end saving dean because it will show dean that he was never on his own and his brother was always there for him.

Dean is the best character i have ever seen in a tv show. writers, director and most importantly Jensen have done a fabulous job.

Dean is, and always will be, my absolute favourite character. I adored him right from the start and I relate to his character so very much. All that responsibility, having to put a younger brother first (always) because it's the right thing to do and that's what family is, pushing back all of those wants/needs/desires and emotions because there are more important things you need to deal with...trying to hide behind humour and constantly putting on a show, pretending you're okay because you have to be - there's no room to feel when you're the only one keeping everyone strong. No room for failure. Thinking there's no chance for redemption because you just weren't worth it to start with. Hating yourself more than anyone ever could and still believing that there's always room to hate yourself more. Dean's character has gotten me through so much. Supernatural in general has gotten me through so much. But Dean...Dean has always been the character that really drove it all home.

The one thing I want to do when if I ever meet Jensen is just...hug him and cry. Hope it reaches the part of him that’s Dean.

There is no greater duty, service or honor than to protect one's family at any and at all cost to yourself and to ur dreams. Dean has his issues as do we all and that makes us humans. But there would be no Sam or family without Dean. His character is pure as it can be and we will forever be in awe of him, he is what real men suppose to be like. Thank you Dean for showing us the way. You are the champion of our hearts.

Weird but it has always felt like they are actually my family. Heartbreaking that the show will be ending.

This is possibly the best Dean Winchester edits out there. He will always remain one of my favorite fictional character. I mean he is such a beautifully written complex character. Brave, selfless, loyal and yet so broken, so scarred, so vulnerable. I will forever love him.

Dean reminds me a lot of myself, same reactions to some things and the stoic attitude to keep the people around you calm when you're just falling apart on the inside. I unfortunately didn't have siblings, however; I had friends who have basically been siblings. I have a Dean and Sam relationship with one of my friends. Just as Dean I'd do anything to make sure everything goes to plan so nothing bad happens. I'd go to wits end to protect and get my friend back if something happened. I know how everything basically rests on your shoulders like Dean. How a vacant mother spot and a Dad that can be too hard on you is. The writers did an excellent job on making the brothers so relatable and same with the actors, Jensen and Jared. It made you crave for a happy ending on a porch in some nice chairs and them having happy lives after everything.

I came here mentally and emotionally broken after watching s15e18. And now I am leaving even more mentally and emotionally broken. Masterpiece. Thank you.

I’ve always felt a very strong connection to the character of Dean and I think it’s because I relate to him. I’m the youngest in my family of 4 but my oldest brother is already gone and my other two siblings have mental health issues of which my parents have no clue how to deal with. So I basically have to take care of them. By watching Dean’s character I have realized many problems that I need to work on. Like him I tend to just tell people I’m fine when I’m clearly not and just bottling everything up. That is something that I would have never even noticed without the show. With the show saying goodbye this year I am heartbroken. Thank you Supernatural. Thank you SPN family. Thank you Jensen for giving so much for this character. Thank you to everyone involved with this show. Thank you Supernatural.

I'm ugly crying rn. This series is so amazing, emotional, funny, heartbreaking and educational, it's become part of my life. I've even had a few dreams about spn and that doesn't happen with other series. Gabriel is my favorite character, but Dean is my second favorite and I can relate to Dean. it's hard to believe he was meant to be the second role behind Sam. he was supposed to disappear after a little while and instead he became this strong man this vulnerable and emotional person that values love and family. that believes in people and will fight for them. dean winchester is one of the best characters developpedin TV, cinema and dare i say literature in his genre.

As the oldest I can relate their relationship with my younger brother we always watched each others back my pops wasnt around for us even tho he got full custody. I practically I raise my brother. But the way dean tries to protect Sam is the same way i do for mines we both have the same relationship with our mom sam was a baby when his mom died my brother was only 4 when we were separated I was 8. It was up to me to watch my brother. This show helped me in so many ways to cope with life and help my brother out. At the end of this last season I hope they both finally get a happy ending
