In this video I am replacing rear brake discs and pads on a 2015 Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TDI.
For releasing the electronic parking brake I disconnected the plug to the electric motor and used a 9v battery and some wires to actuate the motor. Then the piston can be pressed back like on a normal caliper.
The caliper mount is held in by two M14 screws with M14 XZN head. The screws are quite difficult to access and can be stuck very hard.
Total time for a beginner: 4-6 hours depending on how stuck the screws are.
Total time for a hobby mechanic 2-3 hours depending on rust.
