And what excactly is 100 year old technology, which is not actual anymore? Aluminium die casting? Turning on lathe? Yeah, we have cnc´s, but base is still same. We are casting it same way, only by robot arm (without sandals), we are turning it on cnc lathes, because it is cheaper, same with the assembling. These brake "drums", we call it "pigs" in Czech language are not critical parts, in terms of manufacturing. Yes, brakes are critical part, but they will not fail mostly because malfunction of this part. It will most probably fail due to hydraulic line or hose cracks. It is dirty simple part, that can be made at home and it will work. Did you saw this part after 20 years in use? It it galvanicaly coroded as hell and still works.

@@michalrimmerak1646 First off if you want to know everything wrong with this than go buy a book on the Toyota production process. One of the high points is that the cylinder body should be done as a net shape casting. This would eliminate most of the machining work. For God's sake use a collet chuck for any cylindrical machining. A manual collet chuck isn't any more expensive than a 3 jaw chuck but it is faster and more accurate. Also how about using machines designed for high production. The type of lathes used in this video haven't been used in high production for 100 years. The parts are thrown randomly with no organization. Every time you handle a part without adding value it is a waste. For example the parts should be delivered to assemble area in an organized container. The valve body should be put in a simple assembly fixture. By organizing the assembly area you should be able to reduce the assembly labor by 2/3s. Also if the part is finished than package it for shipping right there. It's stupid to handle the part again.
