So chainsaw bayonet is simply the rule of cool turned to 11. It would be completely ineffective to use 1. Heavy it would probably be extremely heavy especially at the end of a barrel. Bayonets already make rifles less accurate and are only used as a very last resort 2. It would most likely bind and end up completely disabling the weapon entirely 3. Why spend the time to rip and tear across bones and joints when you can simply stab someone in their vitals quickly and move one 4. Fuel how would a tht thing even be powered? Cool now not just carrying ammo but oil and gas for a weak heavy mini chainsaw great idea lol Its such a stupid idea its only cool in fantasy land like video games. For the record, the ATF rule didn't say that when you put a bump stock on a semi-auto rifle then that makes that rifle a machinegun. They actually said the bump stock itself is the machinegun. If you didn't own a single gun, but you, for whatever reason had JUST a bump stock, according to the ATF, you owned a machinegun... Also, they didn't grandfather in machineguns when those were banned back in 1934. They grandfathered in select-fire rifles when they banned those in 1984

@@pasqualezarro5216 I understand that - I want to own all the cool toys that I can afford. My comment was really that given the law bans automatic weapons, arguing over what makes something behave as fully automatic seems like a semantic argument. It could be a cotter pin or a bump stock - the results are the same.

@@corey6393 I saw like 3 videos yesterday that showed how fast a bump stock equiped weapon fires. It was as fast as my M16, or close enough not to matter.

Maybe they can work faster with a more experienced user, but in my experience, they are visibly and audibly slower than any full auto rifle I have heard.

Your debating your point of view. Why can't NBC say their point of view whith out be criticized.

Your egregious spelling aside, what NBC is engaging in here is disinformation. They're falsely associating unrelated events to push a specific narrative.

It's effectively a ban because not only do you need the stamp, you can only buy machine guns made before the 1986 ban. Because of that enforced rarity an automatic AR-15 will run you around $40,000 dollars if not more. You can look at the prices online. An AR-15 can be had for as little as $500. Making one automatic costs next to nothing so the automatic version should cost about the same. Adding a extra $39,500 on top of the purchase price of something is effectively a ban. (It's basically an up charge equal to the cost of a Toyota Corolla.) 2) That $200 tax stamp is only considered low because of inflation. It was equal to $4,518.98 in today's money when it was passed. The average work wage was $0.45/hr meaning you'd need 11.11 months of wages to pay that tax then. A tax that high on something effectively a ban as well.

The inference to the Vegas shooter and his using a bump stock is fu(king hilarious.....and r3t@rd3d. That man had money, motivation to plan his crime and the desire to die doing it. With his money he had the means to have easily purchased an illegal fully automatic on the black market or illegally altered an existing legal weapon to function as a fully automatic weapon. NO current or future gun law would have deterred him from carrying out a mass murder event. To think that a law banning bump stocks (or AR's & AK's) would have stop him is ludicrous. Remember, nearly 30 years ago Timothy McVeigh murdered 168 and injured 680 people with a Ryder truck, fertilizer and diesel fuel.
