85 decibels? That's stupid low. When I was in Austria, they had this soundproof booth at a museum to see how loud you could yell without outside sounds interfering in the results. I saw a kid that couldn't be older than 10 yell at 98 decibels. A conversation can be close to 70 sometimes. What dimwitted, smooth brained, mouth breathing moron decided 85 would be a good number for vehicles

People dont know this but Emma Camp killed two men with her bare hands. I know that sounds bad, but if you look into the details you'll find they attacked HER and she defended herself. Its not something she is proud of, nor did she want it. She looks very sweet and I'm sure she is but she is also very capable.

No! It is too late already! The earth's energy imbalance has more than doubled in less than a decade due primarily to the switch to cleaner diesel fuels in the maritime sector. Paleoclimatological evidence also points to the fact that the Charney fast equilibrium temp is closer to 4.6 C not 2.7 C. On top of this reanalysis of recent decadal temp changes show 0.3C inc NOT 0.2C. The amt of heat now stored in the oceans is enormous and already having devastating effects. We will face utter devastation from drought, food insecurity, drying aquifers (the Ogalala will dry up in about 20 yrs), and social chaos as food and fuel prices skyrocket in the next decade or so. The WASTELAND IS COMING! The Pentagon has declared AGW &CC an accelerant to war. We are screwed! The die is cast. We are the sexiest ape and also the greediest...intelligence is not wisdom. We are done!

So the US doesn't need to import leftist to ruin the nation because there are plenty of home grown Democrats already here. But don't they need help? I mean cities don't burn themselves. The constitution isn't going to magically disappear. And I need someone besides my kids to put through college.

Walking on a road paid by state income tax, without a care in the world because the city is safe with police protection paid by state income tax, driving a car with cheap gas because of the military paid for with federal income tax. Yeah. Income tax is necessary you ignoramus. This is what privilege looks like.

Seems like Monterey County could try to hire smarter deputies. Do law enforcement agencies pursue stupid people to hire as officers or does serving in law enforcement make the officers stupid?

Don't forget the fact that for a while they were only able to get parts from places that had similar ethical laws to California (like abortion or LGBT+). This meant that they didn't have access to the lowest bidder and would often have to pay higher prices for parts from ethically acceptable areas. This also created major bureaucratic issues because they needed to figure out which areas were okay to buy from which meant they had to hire more people to vet these places. They have tried to fix this by changing those rules for only ethical companies instead of ethical states/countries but they still have the bureaucratic issue of vetting these places. So between environmental, ethical, and the bureaucratic red tape it has increased the cost dramatically. And if they are doing the DEI stuff which I'm sure they are because they are California, this increases the bureaucratic red tape and decreases the pool of companies that they can buy material from even more.

I am highly disappointed here... A Libertarian should be informed enough to know that this is a media hyped non-event. The 2 largest protests only have a couple hundred protestors with more than a few of them not even being students with the rest of these protests being tiny, in many cases not even 50 people. I am not including counter-protestors.

"In the untouched wilderness of innate ambition, where courage roars louder than the winds and the law of the jungle is written by the unforgiving claws of destiny, Adam Smith, enshrined in the majestic aura of a regal lion, strides across the savannah of enterprise with a dignified grace, his mane glows like a crown of pure gold, symbolizing the radiant success that comes from the sweat of one's brow. Each step he takes imprints the legacy of unfettered opportunity and the sanctity of individual achievement upon the earth, his growls the hymns of market freedom and competition's pure doctrine. Every chase, every triumphant kill under the scorching sun, reflects the core tenets of his existence: that prosperity is forged by one's own claws, that the spoils belong to those who dare hunt for themselves. In this realm where nature's unforgiving law dictates the survival of the fittest, Smith's feast is a hallowed celebration of meritocracy, a sacred ritual where the fruits of labor are savored in their earned glory. Yet, within the dark and deceitful shadows that plague the untouched corners of the vast savannah, a figure emerges that is both foreboding and out of place - Karl Marx, the ghost of collective despair, creeps with the stealth of disillusionment, his presence a blight on the lush landscape of innovation. His philosophy, a morass of dependency and entitlement, seeks to strangle the vibrant life of autonomy and merit, to redistribute the spoils of the hunt without the sweat of the chase. In the whispers of the wind, his doctrines spread like a pestilence, aiming to corrupt the natural order with the falsehood of utopian equality. His vision, dreary and monotonous, threatens to leech the color from the world, proposing a landscape in which the lion lies down not with the lamb, but as the lamb, denying the essence of its nature. This apparition of equal misery rails against the very laws of nature, against the survival of the fittest, pushing instead for a survival of the most numerous. It represents a chilling specter of uniform mediocrity, where the exhilarating chase of aspiration and achievement gives way to the lethargic shuffle of complacency. Nonetheless, despite his attempts to blanket the world in the fog of his malaise, Marx remains a ghost among the tangible triumphs of the individual, unable to fully extinguish the fire of ambition that burns within the heart of the savanna, as Smith's roar, a clarion call to the spirits of ambition and self-reliance, pierces through Marx's murmuring shadows. It is a battle cry, celebrating the victories won by claw and tooth-by wit, will, and work. For in this primal savannah, success is not a gift to be doled out but a prize to be claimed by those daring enough to hunt their dreams under the sun of free enterprise." - Andrea Zanzotto
