I needed to rebuild a Red Lion RJS-100 water pump. The RJS-100 has been discontinued by the manufacturer. Part 2 is installing the new parts, and rebuilding the pump. The pump rebuild was a complete success, is installed, and works perfectly! This is NOT the RJS-100-PREM.
The rebuild kit I used is the Red Lion 640161 Repair Kit for RJS-75, RJS-100 and RJC75/100

The ceramic seal white thingy goes into steel circle plate and rubber thing is the boot that hilds it. The big metal plate lay flat and take socket and push out old ceramic bushing and then take needle nose to pull out rubber seal..install new ones 👍

I sure appreciate the input.. It didn't come with instructions. I remember the rubber seal, but was afraid to try and pry it out since I don't remember there being a replacement. Any visitors will appreciate the details though :)

Thanks for taking the time to post this. I had no idea there was a seam where the paint was. You keep us do it yourselfers going.

You are more than welcome :) Even after talking to one of the manufacturers techs, I spent hours hitting and prying on that thing because even he didn't mention another seam under the paint. Hence not having a disassembly video.

1/4 turn ball valve, not a gate valve. But somehow I know you knew that. Good job on the video. Also, some of those mechanical seals need to be kept very clean (no fingerprints) on the micro polished seal face. Could be where that round cardboard spacer was. ?

Yes you have to take the old ceramic seal out and replace with new

Oops... Darn thing didn't come with any instructions, and the fellow from Red Lion didn't mention anything about that. I appreciate your input for my next re-build :)

You did not change the ceramic seal and that can be a big problem. Also you should never touch the surface of the ceramic seal with your hand just so you know in the future.
