dude dont rebuild it the way it was it will never be worth any amount of money you put into it. go street fighter on it and make it mad custom. wire tuck fairing delete short pipes chop the frame on top of all kinds of other crap. dont make holly what she used to be make her new and better. thats just me tho. good luck bro

Chase, I just rebuilt my whole r6 front end so I know some info about it. Code 22: Intake air temperature sensor located on the ram air duct box. Just plug in a new one and it should be good to go provided wires aren't damaged. Code 23: Atmospheric pressure sensor. I'm not sure where it's located, I didn't have to replace it. The bracket you need is called an upper stay headlight/cowling bracket. Basically the headlights, front fairing and gauges mount on this. It looks like you have part of it as your gauge is still mounted. I have a 2007 so I'm not sure what parts are different. Hope this helps, Goodluck!

Chase, some advise from someone that has rebuilt his own yamaha, don't bother about the enginelight when the bike is not yet fully installed (headlights included). Mine even refused to start when i didn't have all electronics connected and sorted out, ended up checking all spark-plugs, not being able to find the problem. Then just out of anger, I put the entire bike together, tried again, and boom. Like a charm.

Would love to get a constant update on how your bike coming along. I have a buddy who also wrecked his bike but has no motivation or knowledge to get his bike back up to par. It's been over a year and he still has done nothing with it. Haha. Good luck on the rebuild and keep making awesome videos!

Chase you have been blessed to get the funds so you can buy the parts to fix Holly into Holly 3.0. Hopefully soon I will have saved up enough to get a new or used motorcycle.I would have helped you with funds but I don't have anything for a couple of weeks.I would say more if I hopefully meet you in person one day.I don't want to write personal stuff on here.Again I'm happy that we will see a Holly 3.0 soon.Hooah!!! \m/

I think the craschbars you have on the side is what caused the bike to flip over it raises the bike and the tires regain traction and makes it flip over... ive seen it before. If you get enginesliders that bolts on the engine itself the bike slides lower and doesent make the tires regain traction and make it flip over... Good Luck on the rebuild !

It always looks better when you've stripped off all the damaged parts, you can see what needs to be done. You'll need to compare all the bike's measurements to Yamaha's published figures, to ensure nothing is bent, or take it somewhere to be jigged.

I feel your pain, I crashed my bike 2 weeks ago (GSXR K4 750). Even though my bike isn't as expensive as your's, it still hurt my pocket to order the parts to get it fixed again (£550 so far in parts). I had to order mostly Chinese part's due to OEM being so expensive. Good luck on getting your bike fixed and on the road again, as I'm still waiting to fix mine.

I had a low side on my r6 about a month ago so I've went through something similar. It was only cosmetic damage, aside from a broken front fairing stay and it broke my headlight assembly. I bought a new full set of fairings although I did not need the entire set, but buying individual OEM fairings is so expensive. I bought my fairings from TST industries and Id give them a 7/10

street fighter! i have repaired tanks before like that cutting a damaged piece out and shaping a new one tig welding it in but yeah its sketchy if you have fuel gasses up in there haha a fabricator should be able to repair it if he/she knows what there doing but then again it might cost you more to do out that way "weld/paint" than buy a replacement but yeah it is doable, good luck with it hope to see it riding again

Since you're not allowing comments on the crash video itself, I'll put my comments here.... Doesn't look like you were going too fast, but the bike was leaning over a lot - some part of the bike must have touched down lifting the tyres. I replayed the video several times and I can see that you don't hang off the bike much. Hanging off the bike enables the bike itself to remain more upright, which means you can take bends faster without risking grounding out the bike. I'm sure you already know this, so the comment is aimed more at viewers who might ask. Secondly, it's amazing how you manage to clap your hands together while you're sliding down the road - I assume just as the bike flips over. You can't see the bike flip in the video, and I even tried to see if I could see a reflection of it flipping in your visor. Anyway, sorry to see the bike damaged and I hope you get it sorted soon...

Hey chase I think the middle piece your talking about is called a upper fairing stat. I wrecked my 2007 cbr600 and had to replace a piece like that and the ram air box. Not positive that's what it's called on a r6 but it'd worth a look

I am really amazed that you didn't bend your forks. Some lady pulled in front of me going lik 20 mph while splitting lanes and my forks were bent. OEM was 1k for each. I was lucky that I found a whole front fork set for 400 bucks. love that livery on your bike by the way!!

Hey chace, don't change the tank, just sand the damaged areas, bog them and paint it. Trust me, it will look brand new and will be much cheaper than buying a new tank. Good luck.

Look into getting important pieces checked for minimal bending or out of balance ie the wheels, forks, brake disks, bars, triple tree frame etc. It might not be noticeable to the naked eye but they might be out of whack especially if the bike flipped. Just a thought.

Chase don't forget to reset the triple trees. They will shift when the bike goes down and mess up the handling.

The square peices in the front are called ram air ducts and the codes may have to do with the SENSORS inside of the air ducts that MAY have gotten torn from the harness

If you adjust your aperture to more closed your focus won't be so drastic. You'll have to raise your ISO to compromise but it should help with focusing.

How someone can ride a bike and dont know anything about it? Structural integrity of the gas tank are you serious? Its not stresed member or anything like that just get it repaired... code 22 is air temperature sensor, probably was at the front of the air intake (the part you asked how its called) 23 atmospheric pressure sensor. From what I see its an easy fix that you can do on your own with regular hand tools. Just download a PDF service manual. GL with your rebuild.

And that check engine problem is because of the small box that is between the head lights and the air vent in between the forks. There's a small plug, part of that harness with the headlights, if it's not plugged in that'll happen. I had the same thing on my cluster when mine wasn't on.

Chase you need to look up the MICROFICHE for your bike it's a diagram of the whole bike with part numbers makes it much easier Fyi theres no reason you couldn't get dent removed and bodyfilled over won't hurt a thing

Hey just something to think about , my friend has those same race rails ( the company ) and he wrecked and his bike ,got almost the same damage ! I think those rails just dig into the ground due to no sliders , I think you should think twice before re installing that part !! Get impaktech ! Haha ride safe ... Team R6

Where did you get your crash cage? I just wrecked my bike and I'm thinking a cage like that will be a good investment. I don't want a big cage because I do take turns and don't want the cage to hit the ground

Upper fairing stay. Get OEM if you can because the aftermarket ones almost always have fitment issues and they're a bitch to alter (I had to do a lot of shaving/grinding when I replaced mine).

The gas tank integrity issue isn't a thing. On practically all bikes the tank is just a cover with an internal plastic tank inside. Check before you replace.

Hey Chase, what you could do is if you are not going to put the old ferring*sorry don't know how to spell that* back on Holly. You could sell them for more money for parts, or for new ones to put on. Just a suggestion though.

since when does the gas tank become a structural part of the bike ? Its held on place by one bolt and a hinge. You should get the tank empty. Get it off the bike and a good repair shop will weld on the dent and pull it out. Good person will be able to bring it back as good as new. IOnly if the inside is torn up or sensor are squashed etc will you think of a new tank. I suggest you get a fairing kit from ebay/china. Get it wrapped or painted and done. We are talking ABS plastic here and people charge a shitload extra when it is OEM. (but for which reason?)
