Today Chris heads out on his next chapter in his travels and we continue on with our projects. Joel finishes up on the staining and finishing of the window and doors. Mark gets busy ripping out rotten wood inside the old boat up on columns in the back yard. The rest of the guys remove a misplaced gabion cage full of stones that we can repurpose. I spend time with my nieces watching them be silly and then we head out for our town of Tigbauan's festival.
We are a Fil Am couple sharing our lives between living in Texas USA and Iloilo City on Panay Island Philippines. We share dealing with two different cultures, building our solid concrete cast in place home beach side and exploring/ seeking new things. We hope you enjoy and join to be part of a bigger family here on this channel.

Ooof! Trying here to rub the sleep out of my eyes! Seems things going forward in your area, all good... Those finishing touches are often more time-consuming than the big projects... But... That little attention to detail is what brings it all together... Melinda is doing a wonderful job with the garden areas... She's a saint, James, a keeper if I've ever seen one! I cant find the exact video and my comments are expired but im pretty sure that was a comment you and i had about the aeration for the pond coming from the bilge hole on the boat via a pump. It was shortly after you educated me as to what a CR was!!lol Texans helping Texans! ❤

I just got back to the Philippines last Thursday. We will be visiting wife's aunt in Roxas City. We're debating on flying or taking the motorbike. If we ride then we'll come down though Iloilo and maybe get a room with you.

Hey James, as far as the waterfall/aeration flow pump for the boat.. How about mounting a box on the inside of the hull and drilling or chiseling out a few holes and paint it to look like a shark (ie, Jaws) bite out of the side of the boat? 😃

So much content! Brilliant. Once all the finishing touches to the shore area are completed. Might make an excellent location for photo shoots ( good money in that!! It all adds up! Lol). You have the rental rooms available for costume changes, ect. Be worth contacting some local wedding organisers. Do prenup shoots ect.? My friend up in Baguio is involved in all that kind of thing. Has done Miss Philippines shoots ect up here! He has 15 people working for him now . Does everything, set design , making the displays , all the sound , video, giant screens ect. He is well in , with all the local movers and shakers!

Good morning , I am feeling better than I have in years. 51 pounds gone now!!! I will be Joel's size soon lol. I noticed jumping down off of things has no impact to my feet , ankles , knees, back etc. It just feels normal. Thank God I do not have knee issues like my father and grandfather did. Thanks for asking John and hope your feeling great also

That’s awesome James. Eating a carnivore diet when you’re on disability and supplemental earnings, is difficult. Meat has become so so expensive. Even chicken that was usually a cheap go to food is now 6 to 8 dollars for a hen to roast. I have to say though I have lost 60 pounds myself over the last six months. I have done it with the shot Mounjaro. It has done wonders with my appetite. I’m just not hungry anymore and both things don’t look good. Anyways, I’ve been watching for a couple years. Really enjoying your content. I should’ve gone to the Philippines in 2020 when I had the opportunity. love all the beautiful ladies.

Yes shocking, I had been considering cages at my place. Locally they used hundreds as part of a scheme to control flooding from our local river, here in Pangasinan! Our entire province ( being basically flat and only a few metres above sea level), has a serious flooding problem to deal with in the rainy season! Thousands of hectares of good farming land under water, for many months! Fortunately, we also have a prolonged dry season, which means after 3 or 4 months,they water has gone and they can plant crops again( usually corn!). Until the next rainy season! More fun in the Philippines!

Best thing is go to the areas your interested in and just start asking locals. Most properties are never listed.

No because the fact is there is no privacy in the Philippines anyways. We will have security here and there is lots of cameras. Our private areas will be gated away from the common areas

You didn’t mention rates for rooms… I haven’t spent any time in PI since the one night I got back in 1990. In the 70’s and 80’s I spent a lot of time but that was in Subic, some in Manila. I always enjoyed time spent in more isolated locations.
