In today's video, I am (finally) recapping and giving final thoughts on my experience with the April 2024 #30inks30days pen and ink combos. This is my ongoing transcription project: Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery. Bonus Purl content partway through. lol. 😹

Thank you!! I wish I did it more consistently, to be honest. I had to force myself for April, and I didn't do much after that. LOL I pretty much only keep up with it during 30inks. I've filmed a few days ahead, though, and managed to stay on top of it - so hopefully I can continue that for June!

On standard international converters, the tolerances vary enough to give pens an issue of fitting the converter firmly. Try to use Faber-Castell converters, since for me, I use them across pens from Muji to Kaweco. They have a good build, try them out.

I had the same trouble using shimmer inks (Diamine and Wearingeul) in TWSBI Diamond 580s. Didn't matter if it was a fine or medium nib, they all had hard starts and wrote extremely dry - to the point of being scratchy. I put Wearingeul Romeo and Media Briar (? Name) in Eco M and Fine nibs and they wrote beautifully. Have had Romeo inked in Eco F since Dec and it has been an amazing experience. Alao found that shimmer inks clean beatter out of the Ecos for me (maybe that's a Wearingeul/Diamine thing?) I suspect that the feeds are different among the TWSBi pens and that is part od the issue with the 580s. Anyway that's my novel for the day. Hi Purl! Love you, Bye!

I'm experiencing the same thing with my Estie Lilac. I kept thinking I was doing something wrong. It felt like the converter was loose. Also love Fireside Snug 🧡

I'm sorry you're also experiencing the same problem! I wish I knew the solution. Might be interesting to contact Esterbrook and see what they say, but it's happened on a couple ... and they're pens I've carried in a bag with me. but they're the only pens the converters seem to pop out of, lol.

I have the problem you talked about the estie with my pocket pens like for some reason they just refuse to stay connected and I dont know why and some cartridges will stay and some wont ?! its weird

I have had it happen a few times with Kawecos, but not as consistently as it has been happening with the Esties. It's unnerving. Their accessories should fit their pens. LOL :)

@@inksplat I also have the problem with the franklin christoph nibs on my 31 it sits inside of the grip section and I always get a bloop of ink every time I fill it I dab it off and bloop out pours a huge bloop of ink ticks me off they shoudl make the end of the nib housing fit the end of the section so there isnt a huge mess :/
