I'm embarrassed for my city and team. Benn's crosscheck on Stone was reckless, dangerous and sunk any chance the team had to get back in this series. So much so that it's making me question if he should remain captain. This moment will unfortunately define the season, and everybody will forget about a great regular season and a great playoff performance for the first 2 rounds.

Not Benn's first time either, Dylan Larkin had to have neck surgery because of an unprovoked Benn crosscheck. Benn is the reason I can't cheer for Dallas (even though Joe Pavelski is one of my favorite players in the league) and incidents like this are proof it's a pattern of behavior. I'm sure there will be no further action from the league, glad Stone didn't seem too banged up from it.

Can't forget somebody throwing popcorn onto Hill and Carrier when they were coming onto the ice to finish the second. Lot of classless people made the drive out to the game tonight

Since you asked, it feels really good to be happy watching the playoffs. And the shadenfreude just makes all the better. Hague laughing at Domi pushed me over the edge. I didn’t realize that I didn’t like Dallas until tonight. VGK’s economical offense has also been fun to watch.

This isn't what I expected, though as a Vegas fan, I'll take it. Odd that both conferences had the first two games go into OT... with one team taking both games... then game three were shutouts by those same teams to take them 3-0 in the series. The only game puck I have is from the Las Vegas Wranglers (ECHL). The puck came in like a rocket... and hit the only empty seat in the vicinity... right next to me. I remember being utterly calm and I reached down and grabbed it. I resisted the urge to hold it up. An usher came by, but nobody was hurt. It was almost surreal as my mother (next to me) took several minutes to recover from the near miss while I managed to be calm enough to grab the puck.

The fans threw a bunch of Jamie Benn on the ice.

I think the real turning point in this series was the OT. Its effect on this game cannot be understated. It was still hanging over the Stars.

Jack Eichel is the Superstar player that VGK has been missing! Good on Vegas for making that trade with all the risk involved with the surgery. Would be amazing seeing his name on the Stanley Cup before Conner McDavid, what a statement that would be about Eichel's will to win!!!

I was there to see this implosion right before my eyes. It says something when I’m more embarrassed to be a fan of this team because of the idiots in the stands than what happened on the ice. I hope those fans who threw trash on the ice are never allowed to see a Stars game at the AAC ever again.

As a Coyotes fan, I remember when Benn injured Schmaltz. He’s been a reckless dirtbag for a long time. I didn’t have respect for him even before the Schmaltz hit. Honestly, when this happened, I was not surprised. I just shook my head. So much for Pavelski’s ring, smh… 🤦‍♂️

Sucks to see Daddy Dadonov injured. Hope he's okay. Happy with the results. Not happy with how we got here. Was really hoping for an exciting game today (with the same outcome, of course). Stars were absolutely disappointing. Benn deserves to be suspended, but because Stone is okay and Benn was essentially out for Game 3, who knows what DoPS will do. The AAC was a ghost town at the end of 2. It was unbelievable to leave after the second in a WCF.

As a Stars fan I don't even know what to say. Its been an incredible season and we had a great run and this is all anyone will remember this team for. Not the surprising season in which we led the division most of the season and just narrowly lost out at the end when most had us finishing 4th or 5th, not the two impressive series wins, but by this travesty of a game, which will follow with a likely sweep in game four.

As a Seattle fan, I feel as though we could have given Vegas a much more competitive series than what Dallas is giving them. Dallas was very lucky to get by us as I think the only reason why they did was because we simply tired ourselves out & the injuries to McCann & Burakovsky took their toll.

I was honestly blown away by how many so called “experts” were picking Dallas in 6-7 before this series started (probably 75-80% of the people in the series previews that I saw). I simply don’t understand how people are still underestimating Vegas at this point. They played a tougher set of opponents in the 2 series prior than Dallas did and won more convincingly. Of course, Shannon being the genius that he is has known better all along, which just goes to show why he’s the best hockey analyst KZfaqr out there!

Vegas is finally doing to teams what has been done to them every year in the playoffs. Stifling defense in front of the net stopping chances at both quality shots and not letting the other team gain momentum.

Vegas is playing much better under Cassidy's leadership. I'd love to see their PP move around a bit more but if their 5v5 is good and penalties are next to nill you don't really need it to be stellar I guess. 😆Compared to earlier in the season, Vegas also isn't trying to force plays in to the offensive end only to get shutD. Also, while I miss Reaves for his energy, Vegas has isn't short of big guys this season. GKG!

I was there and it sickens me that people started throwing that shit on the ice. Those led bracelets especially are nasty, bc they have 2 coin batteries that get lost on the ice and in extreme bad luck can get a skater hurt. The most ridiculous thing someone threw there was a whole meal!

It is exactly because of Benn's continued behavior and Ottinger's temper that makes me detest Dallas. Unless they're a direct rival of the Rangers, I'll always root against them. I feel your pain, Shannon, you deserve better.

It was MUST WIN, not MUST SH*T THE BED! Holy moly. Did not expect that out of Benn so early in a game. Mark Stone must have been bragging about his mama. Really stupid move on Benn's part and i guess we'll see you (maybe) next year. But i think it's time to turn this team over to a new captain. Before both conference finals I picked Florida and Vegas. But I in no way expected this in both. As a Bruins fan for almost 60 years, I did, and still, like Cassidy, so I was hoping he did well. Again, as a long time Bruins fan, I wanted Florida to go all the way and perhaps mitigate my disappointment to losing to the "team of destiny", so to speak. This entire playoffs have been quite the surprise to me. That is why hockey is the ultimate sport to watch. There are no sure things.

Sorry Shannon this has been a rough playoff year for you. It is weird there are points in the playoffs where things happen where it just seems to sour an outlook. This game was one of them. It sometimes makes it hard to love hockey when it happens.

Vegas and Florida is gonna be somewhere between a slugfest and a chess match! I'm *really* looking forward to that as the final. "Let me know as a Vegas fan how it feels to be this happy..." I got back into hockey because of Vegas. They are the original, professional, LV team, all the rest are a bunch of me-toos. If this game were "clean" (as they say in pro wrestling), I'd be quite happy. Vegas came out and took this game over from the word "go" and didn't look back. But the fact is that Dallas acting out like impetuous, spoiled brats that had mommy tell them no to getting an ice cream cone is ruining this conference final for me. The Stars aren't playing with dignity, integrity, or honor. They completely imploded last night and it completely stole the thunder of this matchup. Even if Vegas sweeps, there will be people, especially in Dallas, that will say "but game three..." Like I said, I can't wait for the SC Final. The WCF can go by me. I'll likely watch a few minutes of game four, but if this game is anything to judge by, it's gonna be worse. Real hockey fans, and even though I'm "new", I would consider myself a real fan, should simply not show up to the next game.

As a Vegas fan I expected a really close series - today’s game was very shocking for a number of reasons and Benn is too good of a player to make that kind of a play. I don’t think Dallas should get a bad rap because a few fans decided to be boneheads and litter the ice and one dumped popcorn on Hill - it’s a bad look but most Dallas fans I’ve communicated with have been really good natured during our back and forth chats. Happy for VGK but this game was super strange. Hoping we get a clean Game 4 and some push form the Stars
